  • May Beauty Wishlist

I really need to start doing these Beauty Wishlists more often. I used to be so diligent doing them every single month, but for a while there, I felt like I wasn’t lusting over as much makeup. My obsession is definitely back on, so expect way more monthly wishlists in the future! I already know what’s going to be on my June Monthly Wishlist!

    1. Smashbox Cheek Palette (buy here): Normally when brands launch a cheek palette, the colours are either boring or unwearable. I usually never like all the shades included in the palette and thus, don’t feel the need to buy them. However, the Smashbox Blush trios are absolutely gorgeous with a deeper shade, lighter shade and a highlighter!

    2. Marc Jacobs Cover(t) Stick Color Corrector (buy here): Colour Correcting has been one of the biggest beauty trends this season, but I have yet to fully explore it. It just seems like yet another step that I’m too lazy to add to my makeup routine. However, these marbled cream correctors from Marc Jacobs Beauty are just so darn cute and I love the blue and pink one that is supposed to brighten the skin and even out the skintone!

    3. GHD Classic Hair Straightener (buy here): my old GHD hair straightener is finally beginning to die on my after 8 (!) years of using it. So, instead of trying out a new one, I am looking to just repurchase the same one. That’s how much I love it.

    4. Lancome Absolue Precious Cells Nourishing Lip Balm (buy here): I am truly a lip balm fanatic so when Lancome released their rose scented honey balm, I immediately knew I needed to give this one a try. It’s a bit too thick and sticky for my liking, but it does leave my lips with a nice amount of moisture and comfort.

    5. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rose Fragrance (buy here): I have never been a fan of floral scented things but the combination of rose and sugar in this fragrance is SO GOOD. I have been spraying this on me every shift and falling more and more in love with it. Plus, the bottle is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

    6. YSL Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in-Stick (buy here): I love my YSL Rouge Volupté Lipstick (review here) so much, so I was super excited to see that they launched a newRouge Volupté Shine Oil-In-Stick Lipstick. This one is similar to the original formula except they are so much more moisturizing with the added oil!

    7. Clinique Sweet Pots (buy here): I was hesitant to put these on my beauty wishlist. I kind of have a love-hate relationship with them. I hate the lipbalm side of them. It’s gloopy, sticky, and unscented. It’s boring. But I am starting to love the scrub side. It’s the perfect scrub that you can apply on the go. Usually with lib scrubs, like the Fresh Sugar Scrub or the Lush Scrub, they are too messy to apply when you’re out, but the Clinique one is less harsh and has finer particles. So, not as exfoliating, but good in a pinch!

    8. Guerlain Rose aux Joues #05 Wonder Violett (buy here): My obsession with blush hasn’t stopped yet and I’ve been wanting to add this blush to my collection for the longest time. It’s the perfect deep mauve shade with a purple undertone. It’s so pretty! Plus, I love the Guerlain blush formula. They go on so smoothly and stay all day!
