  • Lancôme Grandiôse Mascara

This is going to be a very quick review today. There’s really never that much to say about a mascara. They either work or they don’t. Well, that’s kind of a lie, there are also average mascaras but those are just never worth to even talk about. I have been trying out the Lancôme Grandiôse mascara for about a month now and I have been enjoying it quite a large amount. All the customers at Shoppers have been asking if my eyelashes are fake and that’s always the biggest compliment and the easiest way to decide if I like a mascara!

I received this mascara two summers ago and it has been sitting in my stash of makeup, unopened, waiting to be used. So when I finished using my Essence mascara (review here), I decided it was finally time to test out this Grandiôse mascara! This is a more unique mascara. Instead of a straight wand, this one has a large bend in the middle. The purpose? It’s supposed to help you reach the base of every single lash. When I first used this mascara, I found it awkward and hard to use. No matter which way I turned it, the kind in the wand always hit the bridge of my nose when I tried to apply mascara on my left eye. It was a pain. But as I used it more and more, I got used to it and now my nose remains mascara-free.

Honestly, I don’t think the bend in the wand helps at all. Personally it just seems like a gimmick to help set it apart from other mascara. Regardless, i still really like this mascara. The bristles are plastic and short and help to evenly coat each lash with no clumps. The formula is opaque black and doesn’t flake off throughout the day. This mascara promises length and volume and it definitely does provide both.
