  • Ringing in Canada Day With the Most Matchy Red & White OOTD

Two-piece sets have been HUGE this summer. Why wear a romper when you could wear matching separates that look like a romper? I found this matching top and shorts on the Old Navy website during one of their many online sales. I was instantly attracted to the pretty red and peach colours and found myself craving the colours in my closet.

Matching two-piece sets are especially great because you don’t always have to wear them together. I think this top would look great with some white jeans and a pair of nude flats while the shorts could easily pair with a white t-shirt or tank. The possibilities are endless! As I talked about in my last OOTD, I have been really liking buying pieces that I can wear quite a few ways in different outfits instead of always pairing them with the same old thang.

But today, I opted to pair the shorts and top today with a white oversized denim jacket overtop to break it up a bit. But I am most excited that I finally own a piece of red clothing in my closet. For years and years, I have been at a loss of what to wear for Canada Day. Believe it or not, I don’t think I have ever owned a red piece of clothing before. Except for a red Taylor Swift Tour tee. That counts right?
