  • Lizzie Mcguire, you are an outfit repeater

Two years ago, it rained, so two years ago, I wore this same outfit (see it hereand can we also observe that I look the exact same? When will puberty hit and I will turn into an actual adult?). BUTbefore you turn into Kate Sanders and accuse me of being an outfit repeater, let me assure you it wasn’t the exactsame outfit. Don’t worry. I wouldn’t do that on a style blog. (HA, yes I would, I’m not made of money, I do repeat outfits). And before we jump into the outfit, I need to say one more thing. If you do not understand the above movie reference, please kindly exit my blog. We are no longer friends and you should probably start being more interested in Hilary Duff, ya hear?

It doesn’t rain much in Edmonton, but lately it has been raining almost every day. Thunderstorms are suddenly a constant in the prairies of Alberta. But I’m not complaining (surprisingly). Before all the rain hit, my face was getting way too dry, it was peeling! Usually when it rains, I’m a big baby and I stay indoors, refusing to leave my blanket fort in my bed. However, I had to step outdoors today so I immediately gravitated towards my classic rainy day outfit with a few new additions oooooh!

I am wearing an army green vest with some leather details that is not at all waterproof. And it’s sleeveless. It’s basically the most useless thing to wear when it’s raining. Yet, I consider it my rainy day staple. I am clearly very weather oriented. Underneath I’m wearing a very distressed t-shirt from American Eagles. I’m edgy. SO VERY EDGY. (Only my friends will find this funny, everyone else will think I’m dumb). I’m also wearing my fave grey Citizens jeans that are getting more and more ripped, but even more and more edgy. Ooh you know what else is edgy? My leather hat. Leather is always edgy.

And, of course, I couldn’t leave home in the rain without my Hunter rain boots. I love these things to death. But, the real shining star of this outfit is my new umbrella! My friends (#TFK) got me this adorable Kate Spade umbrella for my 21st birthday and it sums up my attitude about the rain perfectly. Like, can we puh-lease take a rain check on the rain everyday? Thanks.
