  • August Beauty Wishlist

I really have to get more into the habit of doing these monthly beauty wishlists more regularly because these products have been building up throughout this whole Summer, resulting in a huge beauty wishlist this month! I have been obsessed with each and every one of these products and I desperately need to get my hands on ALL of them. Thank God for those Shoppers Optimum points!

    1. Lancome Juicy Shakers– You may be surprised to hear that I absolutely hated these when they were first launched but my thoughts have definitely done a 180. These Juicy Shakers are tinted oils that are super hydrating. Plus, each shade smells differently and that’s honestly my favorite part. My fave shades include Wonder Melon and Berry Tale (smells like a blue raspberry Freezie!).

    2. Guerlain Meteorites Pearls / Guerlain Meteorites Compact– I’ve never really thought to give these Guerlain powder balls a chance before, I always thought they were overpriced but I’ve recently fallen head over heels for them. The give the face such a nice glow and help to colour correct a tiny bit. I just can’t decide if I want the pearls or the pressed compact version.

    3. Elizabeth Arden Liquid Lipsticks– These shouldn’t really be classified as a liquid lipstick. They don’t ever dry or set on your lips and they’re not matte. However, they do have the pigmentation of a lipstick. I absolutely love the applicator on these. They help apply the lipstick in such an exact way and they leave such a nice glossy finish on your lips. My favorite shades are Pink Lover (mauvey nude) and Extreme Pink (blue-toned hot pink).

    4. Clarins Fix’ Make-Up Setting Spray– I’ve never been one for setting sprays or primers, they’ve always seemed like just an needless added step. But this one smells like roses and it’s so hydrating on your face! It also contains aloe vera so it’s incredibly soothing as well. Plus, it has a really fine mist (that some people hate) but I personally love!

    5. Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish– I have been so obsessed with gel nail polishes that don’t need a UV lamp or led light to cure them. They’re so quick yet they last so much longer than just an ordinary nail polish. The Essie Gel Couture polishes are probably one of my favorite gel polishes. They last so long on my nails without chipping and the colour selection is gorgeous! I have been loving the bright coral called On The List.

    6. Benefit 3D-Browtones– I haven’t completely decided my thoughts on this product. It’s a brow gel that has a shimmery gold tint that is supposed to replicate highlights in your eyebrows and add dimension. However, when I tried brushing it through my brows, I really didn’t notice a difference. It’s still a super cool concept though!

    7. Clinqiue Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector & Optimizer– This seems like the skincare product of my dreams! It is an improved formula of the original Even Better Dark Spot Corrector except it now includes a dual chamber bottle with the dark spot corrector on one side and a soothing optimizer on the other. The optimizer contains a green tea extract that helps to reduce redness while also helping to prevent future acne marks and dark spots!

    8. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion– I have never been a fan of cushion foundations. They never seem to have enough coverage (not to mention they are way too pricey for the limited amount of product you actually receive). However, this new Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation for Lancome is a high coverage, matte formula. It is still super lightweight yet it provides a full coverage finish. But my favorite part? It contains SPF50 which is unheard of in a foundation!

    9. Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Bold Defining 24HR Liquid Eyeliner– This Summer I have been getting more and more into coloured eyeliners. I am not a huge fan of the formula of these eyeliners. They are super liquidy and they seem to smude/flake off quite easily. However, they do apply beautifully, I am able to get such a nice thin line and the colour selection is gorgeous! They have an emerald green shade called Mystic Green that makes my green eyes pop!
