  • Fall is Over Before It Even Started

Okay. Let me get one thing straight. I know I’ve been complaining profusely about the weather. And don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely still sad about Summer’s disappearance, but I *insert swear word of your choice here for emphasis* love Fall fashion. I just love Autumn colours and layering Pumpkin Spice Lattes (just kidding, I’m not basic, I promise) and everything associated with Fall. But wait, Tay. What is that white stuff on the plants in your photos? Is it- wait no, it can’t be. That can’t be snow. But, yes, Winter decided to welcome itself home a little early this year. But with full denial, we will continue to pretend that Fall in Edmonton consists of the perfect 15 degree Celsius weather and it is totally fine to wear a dress without a coat.

Because this dress is way too cute to be worn with a coat covering it up. It is from an online brand called eShakti. I have featured this company once before on ze blog (read post here) and I’m a little too obsessed with them. Long story short, eShakti is a customizable clothing company where you can enter in your exact measurements to ensure the perfect fit each and every time. So it’s basically fully customizable garments for a fraction of the price! And the best part, it’s not only the measurements you can tweak about the piece. You can customize sleeves, necklines, length, and even remove pockets! (But who would ever remove pockets? If there’s one thing I love, it’s pockets). I was able to totally customize this dress to fit me perfectly. I changed the neckline from a scoop neck to a jewel necklace which I absolutely love! It looks so cute with a turtleneck paired underneath. In addition, I shortened the hem quite a bit because I’m a little bit of a shortie. The result was a gorgeous dress that fits me like a glove.

As mentioned above, I paired a black turtleneck under this dress so I wouldn’t totally freeze my arms off. But, it would look equally as cute with a black jacket paired overtop when it’s even colder out (is that possible? Can it even get colder out? THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST. Hello Mean Girls reference). I wore some sheer black tights with some black suede pointed toe booties. And of course, no Fall outfit would be complete without a rusty coloured floppy hat. Fun fact: this hat makes you stand out A LOT at school. I wore it the other day and at least 8 people texted me as I walking around campus to complement (I use this term very lightly, it was mostly insults)my outfit.
