  • Quo Blending Sponges set

Honestly, I don’t have much to say in this blog post today. After all, they are just sponges. However, these are some pretty damn good sponges that y’all need to get your hands on immediately, so keep reading!

I have been using for Quo sponges for over two years now and they have changed the way I view foundation. Like everyone who has jumped on the Beauty Blender bandwagon, I have been obsessed with how easily these little sponges blend out makeup without leaving any streaks or patchiness. But, like any sane person, I can’t justify spending $30 on a Beauty Blender. But, I can definitely justify spending just a couple of dollars on a similar one from Quo that you can get at my favorite store in the world, Shoppers Drug Mart. Back when I first started using these sponges (I started out with the original purple one), they were only $5. The price has gradually risen up to $7, but that’s still a hell of a steal!

This set of Quo blending sponges just arrived at Shoppers and I immediately knew it would be a great thing to have, let alone a great value! It’s a set of five different blending sponges for $15 (five sponges for half the price of one Beauty Blender, have I convinced you to switch over to the dark side yet?). I really liked the variety of sponges in this set. They can all be used for a variety of different things, but here are their suggested uses (and what I actually use them for):

Orange: High Definition- apply and evenly blends foundation with this edgeless sponge. I use this sponge mainly for applying foundation although it would work great with concealer as well!

Pink: Sculpting- use the flat side for all over application of foundation or apply cream blush with the top edge. I love to bake my concealer with translucent powder using the flat side of this sponge! It works great for patting it in.

Purple: Blending- this is the original Quo blending sponge and it works absolutely wonderful for blending foundation! I use it every day without fail.

Black: Perfectionist- ideal for applying skin care products, correcting makeup application mistakes and blending foundation. I love using the pointed tip for blending out foundation near my nose!

Blue: Precision- enables precise application of cream and liquid foundation especially around the nose and eye area. I use this one mainly for under-eye concealer!
