  • Full Brow

I never really got the brow hype. For a while, I was pretty stubborn and refused to really pay any attention to my brows. That’s a weird thing for a beauty blogger to admit, hey? However, over the years, I have gradually began to focus more on my brows. At first I only used a clear setting gel to keep their shape and then added in a brow pencil and now, on days when I spend a little bit more time on makeup, I go all out with the whole brow shebang. But with that being said, I’ve never tried a brow powder. I’ve tried pencils and pomades and gels, but never a powder! Powders have always scared me a little because I always thought that they took a lot more time and required a lot more precision. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Full Brow’s products in learning that really wasn’t the case.

Full Brow was originally created for a brow bar in Melbourne, Australia and what resulted was this fun, easy-to-use brow line! The first thing that automatically captured my heart was the colourful packaging. This easily takes the cake for cutest brow packaging EVER! I am just obsessed with how fun and bright everything is! I got to try four of their staple brow products from the line; the Brow Powder, the Brow wax, the Brow Brush and the Brow Highlighter.

The Brow Powder and Brow Wax are a match made in heaven. The wax is a clear matte formula that is designed to tame, define and seal brows. If you have more dry skin, it is recommended to apply the wax as a base before the powder. However, I have more oily skin, yet I still apply the wax first because I find the powder sticks extremely well to it. Think of it like a primer for your eyebrows. But, if you want a ultra long hold or make it sweat resistant, you can also apply the wax over top of the powder. That being said, I don’t put any of the wax overtop of the powder and I still find my brows stay perfectly in place all day!

The Brow Powder is equally as nice as the Wax. It comes in four shades: Blonde, Taupe, Natural Brown and Dark. I received mine in the Taupe shade and I don’t think I’ve ever found a brow colour that matches as well as this one. I absolutely hate dark brows on me. With my pale skintone, dark brows just don’t suit me at all, so it’s always hard to find a shade that is flattering and in the perfect in-between shade range. However, this taupe shade is a perfect match. It’s not too light, not too dark and it looks so natural once applied. The powder is extremely creamy (not patchy or chalky at all, so it blends perfectly) and volumizing which helps my brows look so full (hence the name, Full Brow) and nicely shaped.

The Brow Brush is absolutely amazing as well. I never thought an angled brush could be anything that special, but this one is so nicely shaped. It has a nice sharp, angled brush that is excellent at defining and shaping the brows as well as creating that perfect sharp brow tail. On the other end is your traditional spoolie which is always a necessity for brushing out your brows before and after the products to ensure a natural, well blended and shaped eyebrow. The last product I tried out was the Brow Highlighter. I always love a good highlight to accent the arch of my brows. It’s a light golden champagne colour that should be a universal shade on almost everyone! And since this pencil is so creamy, in addition to highlighting your brows, you can also use it to highlight your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose!
