  • Bite Beauty Lip Pencils

I take back every little thing I’ve ever said about Bite Beauty. Actually, I might have never talked about my dislike for their makeup on my blog. But, long story short, I tried their lipsticks when the brand first launched probably about five (ish?) years ago and I (this kills me to say) hated their lipsticks. They were chalky and dry and just not something I wanted on my lips. And when everyone would rave about the lippies, I was genuinely confused what they saw in them that I didn’t. But, I think I got a bad batch all those years ago because after receiving these Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks, I am so happy to report back that I absolutely love them and I finally understand all the hype behind the brand!

But, this post isn’t about the lipsticks (even though they’re so gorgeous and creamy and pigmented and everything I’ve ever wanted in a lipstick). Instead, we’re focusing on the brand new lip pencils that just launched a mere two days ago! I have recently been obsessed with lipliners because of my lack of a cupid’s bow. I am so darn envious of girls who have really nicely defined, shaped lips. But, I guess you just gotta fake it til’ you make it, right?

I got the lip pencils in two dramatically different shades- a nice nude peachy pink and a gorgeous deep wine colour to match the two lipsticks included. These are always two absolutely essential lip liner shades to have on hand at all times. I am always so intimidated by dark colours because it’s so easy for them to bleed outside the lip line or one smudge and your lips look like shit. However, the Bite Beauty Lip Pencil in #044 paired so nicely with the lipstick in Whiskey. It was so effortless to line my lips and create a nice, clean defined lip shape. Maybe, just maybe I will start to wear dark colours more now. The nude lip pencil in #022was way more up my alley and I will definitely be wearing this one almost every day with almost every lipstick. It was so darn creamy and once again, looked amazing with the lipstick in Honeycomb (which is equally as gorgeous as the liner). So, yes. Thank you Bite Beauty for showing me what I could never see before about why everyone loved you. I have now hopped on the bandwagon.
