  • Back to Basic (Bitch)

When the warm weather hits, my style gets a whole lot more casual. I start pulling out the sneakers and that basically sets the trend for all my outfits in the spring. This look today is very‘basic white girl’ (basic bitch?) but y’know, sometimes that’s a-okay. I was comfy and happy to not be bundled up like I’ve been for the past 800 weeks, so that’s all that matters.

I’ve been wanting a bomber jacket ever since they emerged into every thirteen year old girl’s closet a couple of years ago. I stumbled across this one when I placed a way too big Forever 21 order a while ago. I just loved the dusty rose colour because in case you haven’t heard (seen?), that’s all I wear. I feel so darn sporty in this bomber. Underneath the jacket, I wore my FAVORITE graphic tee. It’s from Noul and reads“My problems are going to have problems with me”. If that isn’t my life slogan, I don’t know what is. I have a whole lot of problems.

And because it’s officially spring, I also started to pull out my light wash jeans along with my sneakers. I recently got these jeans from Old Navy and I LOVE THEM. As I’ve said many times on ze blog, Old Navy is my secret hidden gem because they have so many great finds that you wouldn’t expect to see! These are cropped light wash jeans with a frayed hem! I have absolutely been loving the look of frayed denim and these ones are only slightly frayed so they don’t have that edgydistressed look to them. Plus, I think the frayed hem highlights my Adidas perfectly! They’re perfect sneaker jeans. That sentence didn’t make sense. You catch my drift. (Or do you?)

To finish off my outfit, I’m wearing a new purse kindly sent to me from Gamiss, the same place I got my other purse from in my last post. I’ve been wearing this purse NON-STOP lately and I just it. It’s the perfect size and the grey seems to match everything, especially all my new spring clothes! Plus the fringe adds that extra special detail to all of my outfits and maybe makes me not look so basic? Nah, I’m still basic.
