  • I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22

Wow. So I’m twenty two. That is surreal. I started this blog when I was seventeen and an entirely different person at an entirely different stage of life. And yet, here I still am. Taking awkwardly posed photos of my awkwardly cute outfits. To all of my readers who have been with me on this journey for five years, thanks for sticking with me and sending me minimalhate messages. Much appreciated. And to all of the people who are just joining me now, I hope you hang around for years to come! If you want to read a few more ramblings of my thoughts on growing up and turning this magical (not-so-magical) twenty-two, click here.

So I’m in the process of buying a car. Crazy right? I know, Taylor is finally learning how to do this whole “adulting” thing. But a really important part of“adulting” is learning how to budget and save money. But, because I’m the shopaholic I am, sometimes I need to get a little creative with saving money. I love to use Ebates to earn cash back. Now, I’m sure you’ve all heard your favorite Youtubers going on and on about Ebates, but it really is the greatest. Basically you just access all of your favorite online shopping sites through the Ebates website and then when you checkout, you get a certain % of cash back. That’s it. No gimmicks. No tricks. No scam. It’s basically the same as how you get cash back on a credit card. So sign up here!

So why am I telling you this? Because i recently placed a GINORMOUS Forever 21 order. Like the box was the size of me. I went crazy. (Fun fact: when I’m stressed, I shop. A lot. I had four midterms in two days, so I think that explains this shopping rampage.) The site was an additional 50% off clearance so I got some amazing deals and then on top of that I used Ebates to earn an additional 4% cash back! Man, I love saying money. Extreme Couponers, call me up, I’d love to be on your show. 😉

So, my favorite item in this outfit today is by far this faux fur black bomber. I was extremely hesitant to order it online because I had no idea what it would like on, but I’m so glad I took the risk. It couldn’t be cuter. It’s a lil’ obnoxious, a lil’ much, but it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. Underneath, I paired another item that I got in the Forever 21 sale. This rusty burnt orange mock neck top. It combines everything I love; the colour, the mock neck, the flowy yet cropped fit. And it was like eight bucks. I totally regret not ordering it in every colour available. It’s the perfect basic.
