  • Benefit Brow Zings and Roller Lash

These aren’t new products from Benefit, but they are a couple of products that I have been loving lately, so I figured there was no better time than now to share my thoughts on them with y’all! So, here are my favorite oldies (but goodies) from Benefit! Enjoy!

Let’s start with the Brow Zings. Benefit has actually had this product in their range for quite a long time, however it recently went through a packaging and formula revamp last summer when they released their HUGE new brow line (read those reviewshere and here). After trying out all their products in that range, It’s safe to say that Benefit Cosmetics is the queen of brows, so this product (and any of their other brow products) will definitely not disappoint. Brow Zings is a compact that includes everything you could need to get the BEST. BROWS. EVER. There is both a wax and a powder that can be layered to create defined, long lasting brows. Personally, I love to apply the wax first which creates a sticky base for the setting powder to stick to, but you can also apply the wax after the powder instead as a way to seal everything in! But that’s not everything that’s included. There is also a pair of ultra-sharp tweezers that are amazing at grabbing even the littlest of hairs and a dual ended brush that folds up inside of the compact. Talk about being compact. Get it? HAHA. It’s such a great lil’ product to throw in your purse. Best of all, this Brow Zings compact is available in SIX shades, making it so easy to find your perfect brow colour!

Now, let’s move away from brows and on to eyelashes. I have been HATING my lashes lately. I don’t know what changed; my eyelashes have always been super long and they still are, but they are now very unruly. Unruly is a strange way to describe lashes but it’s the best description for them. They get tangly and they all seem to be going different directions. They’re just not behaving for me. They need a timeout. But luckily Benefit is coming in clutch with their Roller Lash mascara. This is an incredibly unique mascara. The wand has little hooks on the bristles so it actually picks up your lashes and as your swipe it through, it curls them. Sounds cool right? It is. It’s also incredibly good at defining your lashes and making sure they’re not going astray. But another cool factor about this mascara is the shade choice. It comes in brown in addition to the typical black. I am so tired of black mascaras and it seems like the days are gone when mascaras were available in a multitude of shades. That’s why I’m so excited to find a brown mascara. It’s such a beautiful rich chocolate colour and I’m really liking this lighter lash look for Spring. It’s so much more bright and fresh. It’s a nice change!
