  • Benefit Galifornia Blush

There is no better way to celebrate the start of summer than with the most beachy, summery blush I could find, the Benefit Galifornia Blush. This is one of Benefit’s newest additions to their blush range and as soon as I laid my eyes on it, I knew it was the next blush I needed. I have been looking for the perfect coral blush for the summer because I feel like a coral shade makes me look much more tanned and glowy.

However, although this blush practically screams coral to me, I was surprised to learn it’s not actually described as a coral blush. Instead, Benefit calls it a golden pink. Interesting. Very interesting. But I don’t care what Benefit says, I’m still going to call it coral because it really is straight up coral. But regardless of whatever shade this blush is, I think the one thing we can all agree on is that it’s absolutely gorgeous. The bright pinky-orange blush comes with a beautiful sparkly gold overspray overtop. I read a lot of reviews from people disappointed that the gold doesn’t continue all the way through. However, I found that the overspray actually lasts quite a long time and there is very fine gold shimmer through the entire blush as well, so I don’t think y’all have to worry about a thing. And because of the slight gold shimmer, you get such a radiant, glowy finish on your cheeks. Once again, absolutely perfect for summer.

Another thing that I absolutely love about Benefit blushes is the packaging. The container, the scent, and the included brush really sets this blush apart from others. The colourful print on the outside might be the cutest thing ever and this particular blush has a vanilla grapefruit scent to it. If you have never smelled a Benefit blush before, you have to immediately. They all smell differently and it’s one of my favorite things ever. Usually I throw out the brushes that come with makeup products, but this brush is actually pretty handy. It’s great for if you want to apply this blush on the go, but I actually prefer to use this blush as a highlighting brush with a different highlighter. It’s the perfect shape.
