  • Rouge Dior Liquid

Dior has been on fire lately. They are launching new things left and right and while some of them have been hits, a lot of them have also been misses. But I’m feeling positive today and luckily I’ve really been loving their newest lip launch so I don’t have to hate on anything today.

This is Dior’s take on the ever-so trendy liquid lipstick- the Rouge Dior Liquid. I feel like I have been talking about liquid lipsticks way too much on ze blog lately, but I just can’t stop! They’re popping up everywhere and I can’t see myself stopping anytime soon. The Dior liquid lipsticks are a lil’ bit different from your average liquid lip however. They are available in three different finishes; matte, satin, and metallic. The metallic ones are full of glitter and sparkle and absolutely gorgeous while the satin ones have a tiny bit of gloss and a cream finish and then the matte ones are of course, matte.

The colour that I have is shade #362 Impulsive and it’s a matte finish. It’s such a pretty colour! It’s a gorgeous pink coral that I have been loving lately. It’s going to be the perfect transition shade into fall before I start switching over to darker colours. The cool thing about the Dior Rouge Liquidsare that although they don’t dry down to a transfer-proof matte finish, they do turn into almost a stain so they still provide a long lasting coverage on the lip (Dior promises a 12-hour wear time). When I swatched this one on my hand originally, it stained my skin for a full 24 hours. That’s pretty darn impressive for a liquid lipstick in my opinion. And because they don’t dry down, they not super drying as well. The formula is a blend of mineral wax, ultra-fine powders, and oils that gives strength and moisture to the color. The mattes can be a tad dry (but still nothing compared to normal liquid lipsticks), but the satin and metallic finishes aren’t drying on the lips at all!

Another thing that I really liked about these Dior Rouge Liquids is the applicator. Usually I’m not one to really care about the brush but this applicator is quite nice for applying the product. Thereservoir-style applicator takes up and deposits just the right amount of product so you don’t have to keep dipping the wand back in to get more product and it also has a fine tip for outlining the lips with precision!

There are so many cool shades in this collection like a crazy metallic silver and a black! So since the formula is so great, I’d highly recommend y’all go check out the other shades. I have the most beautiful metallic burnt orange (#751 Rock n’ Metal) in mind that is definitely going to be the next one I pick up!
