  • Belif Skincare and Mask.Lab Sheet Masks

Why did I wait so long to try out Belif skincare?! That is the question I have been asking myself ever since I started trying their line. I have heard so many great things about them over the years and yet, I have never taken the plunge into their product range. Until now. Dun dun duuuuuuuuun. (pretend that sounded like this for dramatic purposes).I got to try out two products in the Belif skincare range; The True Cream – Aqua Bomb and the Cleansing Herb Water.

The True Cream is one of Belief’s most iconic products and the first I ever heard of from the brand. It comes in two different formulas, the original Moisturizing Bomb for normal to try skin types and the Aqua Bomb, which is the one I was sent! The Aqua Bomb is a lighter gel-cream that is best suited for normal to combination skin types. This gel feels AMAZING on the skin. It’s so cooling and refreshing and you can practically feel the hydration rushing to the deepest levels of your skin. But it’s not just my imagination. The gel-cream is actually formulated to‘burst’ when applied, releasing a flood of moisture onto the skin and then quickly absorbs! AKA it’s the best feeling cream of my life. In addition, a blend ofapothecary herbs that helps to neutralize skin-damaging free radicals, improves skin elasticity, and minimizes the appearances of pores.

The Cleansing Herb Water is equally as hydrating and good as the Aqua Bomb. It is marketed as being a one-step cleanser, essentially a micellar water. However, like I do with all of my micellar waters, I like to pre-clean with this and then follow up with a cream or gel cleanser on my Clarisonic. The first night I used this to remove my makeup, I ended up with an angry red rash all over my face and I was terrified to use it again. But as the perseverant blogger I am, I kept using it and I’m so glad I did, because I never got that weird rash ever again. It cleanses and removes my makeup extremely well. Plus, the hypo-allergenic water contains Tri-herb Tea Complex, which helps to keep skin clear (which is definitely what I need right now because my skin is breaking out like crazy).

I also got to try out a couple of face masks from The Face Shop. I love sheet masks so my skin couldn’t wait to try these out. The first is theMask.Lab Double Wrap Face Mask, which isn’t just your ordinary moisture sheet mask. This intensely moisturizing mask features a double-wrapping sheet with a layer of white film that locks in moisture and effectively promotes the absorption of ceramide serum. This ensures that the serum isn’t evaporated during the 30 minutes that you leave the mask on. My skin was feeling so dry but immediately after (and for the next TWO days), my skin has never felt more moisturized. It was amazing. The second mask is the Mask.LabAnti-Aging Foil Face Mask. Similar to the Double Wrap Face Mask, this one is coveredwith a layer of foil that prevents the anti-aging essence from evaporating. The collagen in the serum helps to firm the skin and improve elasticity! The last mask is the Mask.Lab Chitosan Face Maskand this is a super cool one. The purifying serum and sheet mask are packaged separately which you have to combine at use. The serum contains 50% Chitosan Fibre and both AHA and BHA, to absorb excess surface oil and removes dead skin cells!
