  • Guerlain Aqua Nude

I’ve had these photos sitting on the desktop of my computer for FOREVER, or to be more precise, since December (hence the festive holiday vibe going on with the mini sparkly Christmas tree in the background). To be honest, I got really caught up in the hustle and bustle of school and my blog was put on the back-burner. I was trying to live more in the moment and less on the computer if ya feel me. But I’m back, baby. Bigger and better than ever (maybe not bigger). So anyways, don’t mind the festive photos. Just pretend it’s December right now. (Yes Taylor, because snow is clearly what we all want right now..)

It’s honestly quite a surprise it took me so long to get around to writing this post because usually I’m really excited to sit down and gush about a product I love. And I definitely love this product. That’s a fact. This is the Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Aqua Nude Foundation (or as it’s full name states: the Water-Infused Perfecting Fluid). I’ve never met a foundation by Guerlain I didn’t like, so I don’t know why I even thought there was a chance I wouldn’t like this one. But in all fairness, this isa foundation I wouldn’t usually like. It’s super lightweight with minimal coverage. I always thought of myself as a full coverage girl. But surprisingly even though this foundation doesn’t promise medium or full coverage, when I pat it on my skin with a damp Beauty Blender sponge, it really seems to cover quite a bit. And on those days that my skin just isn’t happy and is erupting little volcanos all over my face (AKA right now on my chin), I can always pair a more heavy concealer with this (I’ve been loving the Maybelline Master Conceal concealer lately!). Honestly, it gives me all the coverage I need, so I’m a happy gal.

And let’s talk about the finish of this foundation because it’s beautifulto say the least. So because this foundation is a super hydrating, water based foundation, it smoothes and plumps the skin making it look so damn healthy. I’ve been craving dewy, hydrated, soft skin lately and this is how I achieve it. Gone are the days when I want to look matte and flat. The other thing I found super interesting about this foundation is that it’s very long-lasting. Usually when a foundation is this watery and this lightweight, they don’t tend to be incredibly long-lasting. But that’s not the case with this one. It lasts all day and I don’t find myself needing to apply powder over it as time goes on or needing to touch up any patchiness or fading. It just lasts on my skin and looks good. And one last thing to mention: it smells delicious. i love putting this on every morning just so I can smell it. It’s the little thing y’all.
