  • My Favourite Fragrances(AKA how to smell like a candy store 24/7)

If you don’t like sweet scents, don’t even bother reading this post. Just close this tab, shut down your computer and go wear you old boring granny floral scents while I keep on smelling like a twelve year old who just had a rampage through a candy shop. Oops. I wish I could have featured some more diverse fragrances that would appeal to a wider audience but that just wouldn’t been genuine. Because at the end of the day, I only wear one type of fragrance and that’s anything that’s sweet. But if you’re a fellow cotton candy scented bundle of joy, you’re in luck because you’re about to learn about the best, sweetest fragrances out there.

Besides them all being incredibly sweet, there is a few other similarities between these perfumes and that is having key notes of Raspberry, vanilla or orange blossom. Chances are if a fragrance has any of those aforementioned notes, I will like it and want it and therefore, keep smelling like I’m a walking lollipop. Hurrah. One of the hardest things to do is describe a scent so please bare with me as I try to explain why each of these perfumes are my favorite!

    Coach Eau de Parfum

    Raspberry, Turkish Roses, Suede Musk

I’ve never been a fan of Coach’s scents but this one changed my whole mind on that. The raspberry is so strong in this and when combined with the musk, it creates a beautifully sweet fragrance with just a hint of depth and spiciness.

Lancome La Nuit Tresor Eau de Parfum

Black Rose Essence, Vanilla Orchid Absolute, Lychee

This is definitely near the top of the list when considering my favorite perfumes. I have all three variation of this fragrance: the eau de toilette, the eau de parfum and the eau de parfum caresse and I reach for one of them almost daily. They last so long on the skin and I find myself smelling it on myself throughout the day. One thing to note – I struggled finding this fragrance online to link so curious as to if it’s in the process of being discontinued? Y’all better pick it up ASAP if it is.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum

Coffee Accord, Orange Blossom, Cedarwood, Patchouli

Black Opium by YSL reminds me a great deal of the Lancome Tresor La Nuit perfume mentioned above. It’s almost like Lancome’s spicier, older sister. It’s more mature, less sweet but still deliciously good!

Guerlain Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum

    Jasmine, Lavender, Vanilla

Out of all the fragrances I’ve listed in this post, this one is definitely the most sophisticated and least sweet. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely still sweet but with the jasmine and lavender, it’s more of a sweet floral so it might appeal to the greater masses.

Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris Eau de Parfum

    Raspberry, Datura, Patchouli, White Musk

When I think of Paris, this is what I would imagine the city to smell like. Sweet raspberry from the macarons in bakeries (or should I say, boulangerie, oui oui 😉 ), flowers everywhere and just a hint of musk to emphasize the sophistication of the city. Pretty accurate I must say.

    Viktor&Rolf BonBon Eau de Parfum

    Caramel, Mandarin, Orange Blossom

This is the newest addition to my perfume collection and my oh my, when a fragrance is named BonBon, you already know it’s gonna be the sweetest thang. Viktor&Rolf are great perfumers and with Flowerbomb being such a hit, it’s no surprise this one is amazing as well.

Lancome La Vie Est Belle L’Eclat Eau de Parfum

    Iris, Orange Blossom, Vanilla Bean

All of the La Vie Est Belle perfume variations from Lancome are amazing but this L’Eclat one is their newest and it’s lovely! It’s slightly more sweet and fruity than the original; hence why it’s my favorite!

    Pink Sugar Eau de Toilette

    Raspberry, Cotton Candy, Vanilla

This was my very first perfume EVER and it’s still one of my favorites. It’s the sweetest of the sweet and it only makes sense that cotton candy would be a top note because this perfume smells exactly like cotton candy. It’s my one true love.

Prada Candy Gloss Eau de Toilette

    Cherry, Peach, Musk

I actually hated this fragrance when it first came out because it’s so unique. The cherry and peach combo makes it smell so different than my usual sweet scents but it’s the perfect perfume for summer!

Armani Because It’s You Eau de Parfum

Raspberry Accord, Rose Absolute, Vanilla Bean Accord

I really, really, really wish the bottle was prettier than this. The scent is gorgeous and reminds me quite a bit of the Coach fragrance mentioned above. However, the bottle is so boring and basic, I tend not to reach for it much. That makes me seem quite superficial. Oh well, packaging is everything.
