  • I Graduated!

+ some of my favorite jumpsuits‘cause it’s jumpsuit szn

WOW I DID IT. I’m officially a graduate. I’m a gal with a degree. I’m so much smarter now. Except I swear the world was trying to stop me from graduating. I was set to graduate (AKA walk across the stage to get my degree) on June 14th and catch a flight to Mexico on June 16th BUT THEN the worst thing happened. I got sick two days before. It was a full blown cold. Sniffly nose, sore throat, upset stomach, annoying cough, aches all over- it was a fun time. So, if you notice in these pictures, my face doesn’t look like normal and there is no light beneath my eyes and my smile seems forced, that’s why. I had to cake on a million pounds of makeup just to remotely resemble a healthy person and not look as if I was dying. But I graduated nonetheless. Whoohoo.

It took me agesto find a dress to wear to my convocation. I had no idea what I wanted to wear and nothing seemed to spark my interest in stores or online. I had almost resorted to the fact that I was just going to have to wear a dress I already owned. But I persevered and went shopping a couple of days before my grad at Aritzia. As you’ve probably heard me say before, I have mixed feelings about Aritzia. Yes, I think all of their clothes are so beautiful but I hatehow for any big event AKA graduation, everyone solely shops at Aritzia and therefore, there is bound to be at least a dozen other girls wearing the exact same outfit as you. That’s just ain’t my thing. But unfortunately, there isn’t many stores in Edmonton that has cute semi-formal/summer dress that are perfect for graduating in. So I decided I was going to have to have a look at Aritzia and I came across the most beautiful jumpsuit I have ever seen.

A jumpsuit solves my issue of avoiding looking like everyone else for two reasons. First of all, it’s a jumpsuit. Not many gals wear jumpsuits to their convocations. (I don’t know why not though, they’re hella cute). Second of all, I picked it out in this sage green colour. All of the Aritzia jumpsuits I’ve seen around town have either been in the cream, nutmeg or black colour. Plus, this green colour doesn’t make me look as pale as I really am. I tried on the nutmeg shade and boy oh boy, I was convinced I had died and become an actual ghost. It was not a cute sight.

But yeah, I graduated. Ya girl has a degree. I am a BComm graduate. Now I just have to find a job. Wish me luck, y’all.
