  • The Last Summer Outfit

Guys. It happened. The worst thing to ever occur has happened. It snowed. In the middle of September. One day I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt sweating my lil bum off and the next I was wrapped up in a hoodie and wool coat and beanie and gloves and UGGS. Yes. You heard right. The Uggs have already made their appearance into my life this year. That’s when you know Winter has come a lil’ too early.

So this outfit will now serve as a way for me to reminisce about the good days when I wasn’t in a constant state of shivering (and crying). Imagine stepping out in a sleeveless top and not freezing your arms off?! No frost bite on your exposed skin?! Unheard of! But now these are just memories of the past for me. It’s no longer reality. Wow, Taylor, can you be anymore dramatic? Summer will be back in a short long six months eight months.

I’m beating around the bush here a lil’ because in all honesty, there’s not much to say about this outfit. Yes, it’s cute, but all these pieces have been on the blog before and I’ve said my piece about each of them. So let’s just do a quick lil’ overview. The shoes are still my favorite, however I have already boxed these up and put them in storage for the Winter. That makes me so sad that I won’t be able to wear these beauties until the middle of 2019 rolls around. Wowie, it’s gonna be 2019 next year?! That sounds weird to say. Anyhoo, I’m also wearing some CoH Liya’s that are incredibly comfy with a lace tank and a sleeveless duster from Boohoo. To complete the outfit, I added some new jewelry from one of my favorite local brands here in Edmonton, Eliasz and Ella. Theserose gold natural agate druzy stone studs have been on my ears since I got them at the beginning of summer and their bracelets are re-awakening my love for some major arm candy.

But, as much as I like to hate on Winter and act like I’m going to miss the warm weather and my summer outfits, the good times are not all gone. I went shopping at Aritzia the other day and I dropped a lot of money (on clothes, not on the floor) … (laugh, that was funny) … (please). I had determined I needed an all new wardrobe now that I’m a workin’ gal and unfortunately I had to pick the most expensive store. However, the result of all that is that I’m gonna have a lot of cute outfits to show y’all this winter. However, taking photos of said outfits might be a struggle as I don’t like to stand outside longer than I really have to. We’re gonna have to get creative with my photo locations this season.
