    Revlon Mythic Lights Collection Review

It’s been a long time since I featured drugstore makeup. It’s not that I’m a makeup snob and only wear high end makeup, I just wasn’t seeing a whole lot of cool drugstore options that sparked my interest. However, Revlon recently came out with a bunch of super cool new makeup that changed my perspective of the mass cosmetics market. I did a full face look with all of the products they sent me and I honestly love every single item.

I have heard so many things about the Revlon Colorstay Foundation over the years and I am just as shocked as you are to have NEVER tried it before. This foundation has been around for years. Remember when the foundation didn’t even have a pump? This foundation has come a long way since those days. I was super excited to see what all the hype was about and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The Revlon Colorstay Foundation is medium to full coverage with SPF 20. I honestly expected it to be a lot thicker since it’s a full coverage makeup but it was surprisingly lightweight which I really loved! It gave a good amount of coverage to my skin. I also love that it comes in two different formulas – normal to dry and oily/combination. Mine is in the normal/dry formula and I found it to wear very comfortably on my skin.

One of the things I was most excited to try out in the collection was the new Galaxy Dream Holographic Highlighting Palette. This palette comes with four highlighters in a peachy/yellow shade, a mint green, a pink and a pastel violet. This palette is such a great way to try out a colored highlighter without splurging on a trend that might be done in a couple of months. For this look, I mixed the yellow and pink shade together to create a beautiful glow on the cheek bones!

I always love a good cream eyeshadow but they’re surprisingly hard to find lately. I remember I used to always use a cream shadow quad from Revlon back in the day and I absolutely loved it. But Revlon took it one step further by creating these ColorStay Crème Eye Shadow singles! I got the shimmery pink shade in #745 Cherry Blossom and the pearly white in #750 Vanilla. These shadows are so creamy and blend effortlessly. I love to pat them onto my eyelids with my fingers to warm up the product and give a subtle sheen to my eyes! Such a quick makeup look!

I haven’t worn a bright lip in so long and it wasn’t until I put on this new Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint (in the shade #240 Berry Lit) did I realize just how much I missed a pop of color on the lips. But something that I love even more than the shade is the formula of this lippie. You twist the bullet to release the lip tint through the cushion. It applies very smoothly onto the lips and it feels so hydrating! When I read the name lip tint, I was expecting a sheer finish but I would say this is more like a glossy liquid lipstick! It has so much pigment and it’s incredibly long lasting. Plus it smells like vanilla. So I’m happy.
