  • The Month of Cheetah Print

Before we talk about my obsession with cheetah print, we first have to discuss the fact that spring is finally here!! I have been waiting for this day for so long but in regular Taylor fashion, I can’t be too positive. I have to whine and complain a little first. So, for the whole month of February it rarely reached above -20°C (-4°F). Thus, you would think that the journey towards spring would be a slow one. Maybe it would be -15°C one week and then -10°C the next and then -5°C and finally beginning to reach above 0°C a month later. But that is not how it happened at all. It was -30°C two weeks ago and now it was +17°C today. How does the weather change 50 degrees in two weeks? (Climate change maybe?). So now it’s freakin’ hot and we practically skipped spring all together. It is now summer. Surprise.

But I’m mad about it. That might seem weird seeing as how I absolutely hate the cold weather but hear me out. I love wearing coats. Coats and jackets are by far my favorite clothing item. However, you know the perfect season to wear the majority of my coats? That’s spring and fall. But if we skip those seasons and just go from winter to summer and vice versa, I don’t get a chance to wear my beautiful coats. And that’s not okay by me. I wore my Club Monaco wool coat to work today but had to carry it around all day when I was outside because it was so hot. Thus, my outfit was not looking cute. It’s an injustice!

But, that’s not what this post is about today. No, instead, it’s about cheetah print. Yes I know that I featured cheetah print in my last two outfit of the day posts but we ain’t stopping there. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve acquired a fair bit of cheetah print. So, I’m happy to announce that I now proclaim this month as Cheetah month. Cheetarch. (Cheetah + March). (Please ignore how lame that was).

But, let’s discuss how cute my outfit is for Cheetarch (Taylor, stop trying to make Cheetarch happen. It’s not going to happen) first. My top is this cheetah (duh) print long sleeve, crop top from Zara that I got for $3.99. Four dollars?! Yes. My friend told me to stop investing money into cheetah print because it’s just a fad but how can I resist when I’m only spending four dollars. What a bargain. It’s so cute and super soft and comfy too! Over top, I wore this fuzzy cardigan from J.Crew that I originally tried on in Vancouver and then couldn’t stop thinking about. So I bought it online during one of their super sales (J.Crew has the best sales). It’s seriously the softest thing I’ve ever bought but you know what would make it even better? If it was cheetah print.
