Nothing makes me feel girlier than a good lace top. But boy, the perfect lace top is always a struggle to find. I don’t know about you but whenever I think of lace, that tacky, thin lace webbing comes to mind. You know the lace you would find on the hemming of a cheap tank top from, say, Urban Planet or Ardene’s (nothing against those stores, just the first that came to mind when I think of cheap lace)? I love the kind of lace that is more thickly woven (hence opaque in some parts) and has an intricate detail. And so, when I saw this top at Zara, I immediately loved it. It has the cutest scalloped mock neck, cropped hem and cinched bell sleeves. It’s just so pretty. I’ve linked some of my other favorite lace tops down below because I believe this one is sadly sold out at Zara now.
To pair with the lace top, I also got these earrings from Zara. I’m sure you know by now that I have quite the obsession for statement earrings. I hope I never get bored of them because I have way too many pairs now and I don’t want them to go to waste. So the newest addition to my collection are these white acrylic leaf earrings. They are so tropical and they’re getting me excited to wear them all summer long.
And because May doesn’t quite count as summer yet, I had to wear a trench overtop. However, I can’t be too mad about that because I really do love this trench coat. I picked it up a couple years back at Aritzia and it’s become such a staple in my closet. To finish off the outfit, I’m wearing my beloved Citizens of Humanity jeans (Rockets style) and my Marc Fisher brown suede boots. And, of course my pink purse. Every year, as soon as spring hits, this purse comes out to play. It’s just so pretty.
