Guys, on a completely unrelated note that has nothing to do with this outfit, I think I’m getting old. My blog will no longer be titled When I’m Older. From this moment on, it’s new name is Now I’m Old. Because, I am old. I went to Folk Fest (a music festival here in Edmonton with a bunch of folk bands) this weekend (there will be a whole post on it later this month) and I might have had a little too much to drink. You can’t not day drink at music festivals. But all day today I was so hungover. I spent the entire day in bed. The ENTIRE day. No exaggeration there. I haven’t done that since I was like 21. But I thought I would finish up this very unproductive day by writing this (overdue) blog post so I don’t feel completely unaccomplished.
So my outfit. Yes, let’s talk less about me being a drunk fool and more about my outfit since this is a fashion and beauty (and lifestyle) blog. I’m wearing a jumpsuit (no shit, Sherlock) (wow hungover Taylor is feisty today). If I could wear a jumpsuit every single day, I probably would. This one was actually my university convocation outfit (see here) but I’ve continued to wear it paired with different items numerous other times (like here). Today I went for a very 70’s-80’s (idk guys, I wasn’t born yet) look with the cropped houndstooth jacket paired with the wide-leg jumpsuit and chunky block heels. It’s a very cool vibe. The only thing that I wish was different about this jumpsuit is the back. It’s an open back and sleeveless so I can’t wear it to work without wearing a jacket over top which is mildly inconvenient. If anyone knows where to find a jumpsuit that looks exactly like this but has a closed back and cute little cap sleeves, link me. I need that in my life. Bonus points if it’s green, mustard yellow, rust or lavender.
My Favorite Jumpsuits:
On yet another completely unrelated note, I leave for my San Francisco vacation in four days and I’m contemplating packing this jumpsuit. Is this a San Francisco outfit? Sans the heels of course. Nobody wants to be walking up and down all the San Fran hills in heels. That does not sound like a fun time. I’m honestly having such a hard time packing for the trip. San Fran has the most confusing weather. It’s hot, it’s cold, it’s windy, it’s humid. Like, just make up your mind. I can’t wear 8 million layers to prepare for San Fran’s mood swings. So, stay tuned to ze blog to see what I end up packing (I think there will be a blog post about that if I stop being hungover and get my shit together).
