I have become such a huge fan of Glossier over this past year. I just love everything that the company stands for and I truly believe their makeup products are some of the best! I have loved everything I’ve tried. But it hasn’t always been that way… (drumroll please). The Glossier Cherry Balm Dotcom ($12USD/$15CAD) has been my bestie, Vanessa’s, favorite lip balm for a while now. She is honestly obsessed with it. She thought she lost it when we were in San Francisco and her whole day (year?) was ruined. Luckily we found it in her purse a couple hours later so that whole tantrum was avoided. But it was a close call, y’all.

Anyways, she is the biggest fan of the Glossier Cherry Balm Dotcom and so naturally she tried to make me love it as well. But I just couldn’t. I didn’t think the red tint was flattering on me nor did I like the cherry scent. But boy oh boy, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I should have just listened to Vanessa all along. She is always right. But it wasn’t until she got me the Cherry Balm Dotcom for Christmas this year that I was forced to love it. Now I can’t leave my house without it. Funny how that works. The Balm Dotcoms from Glossier are one of their most popular products. They are a super hydrating lip balm formulated with Castor Oil, Beeswax, and Lanolin. This winter has been so dry this year so my lips have definitely needed a good lip balm more than ever. It’s quite a thick lip balm with a waxy texture so the product don’t absorb into your lips too fast and provide long-lasting moisture.

The subtle cherry red tint is another reason I love this balm so much. When my lips get dry and chapped, they seem to lose all of their natural colour and get really pale and ghostly. This Balm Dotcom adds back a natural tint to my lips without looking too red or deep. It’s perfection, really. The Balm Dotcoms come in a variety of tints and scents (eight to be exact) so even if you’re not a red kind of gal, there are plenty of others to choose from! The Mango balm with a translucent coral tint is next up on my wishlist.

The other product that I recently got from Glossier is the Cloud Paint in Puff ($18USD/$22CAD). I already have one Cloud Paint in the shade Dusk (review here) and it might just be my favorite blush to date so you know I had to pick up another shade ASAP. Puff is a light, cool pink and is the palest shade in the Cloud Paint collection. Although I have super pale skin, I was a little worried that this shade would be too light for me and would wash me out. But one of my blogger friends said that it is a great cream blush for mixing with darker cream blushes to lighten them up. Genius! And although it is great for that purpose, I found that I can easily wear this blush on it’s own as well and it gives the most natural pink glow to my cheeks. For those of you who haven’t tried the Cloud Paints yet, they are a gel-cream formula that are so lightweight and blend out effortlessly. They are not sticky at all so they don’t get patchy or streaky on the cheeks. They are perfection. Really.
