It has been YEARS since I last posted a blog post about nail polish. But there’s a very simple reason for that. I have not painted my nails for YEARS. I get my toes done quite regularly, but I can’t even remember the last time I painted my fingernails. My polish used to just chip far too often and it became such a hassle to keep up with making sure my nails were perfectly painted. So I would just forgo it all together.

But the time has come. We are talking about polishes on ze blog today! When I saw these nail polishes on the Oak + Fort, I knew it was time to start painting my nails again because this is my primary colour palette right now and why not wear my colour palette on my nails as well? It also helped that these polishes were on extreme clearance because who doesn’t love a great deal?! We’re talking three bucks per nail polish. You can’t say no to that! Plus, when you’re stuck inside during these troubling COVID-19 times, nothing passes the time better than painting your nails. I finally have time for that! Just make sure you crack open a window to let these fumes escape. Or don’t… I won’t judge.

The shades from left to right:

Tuscan Sun – a rusty burnt orange

Golden Hour – a deep mustard yellow

Moss – an army, olive green

Sandalwood – a warm camel brown

Celeste – a dusty sky blue

Now, I know this is supposed to be a review but how do oyu review nail polishes. For starters, the formula is average. But for a nine dollar (three dollars on sale) nail polish, what do you expect? It isn’t going to last on your nails for three weeks. It chipped on me within a couple of days but that’s pretty standard for me. The one reason I bought these polishes was not for the formula, it was for the pretty colours that seem to be hard to find amongst more mainstream nail polish brand (Yes, I’m talking about you, Sally Hansen). And these colours definitely got a 10/10 from me. A+. Five stars. Need I say more?
