We are finishing up week 2 of social isolation and my oh my, what a week it’s been. I miss work, I miss my coworkers, I miss my friends, I miss going shopping, I miss eating out, I miss the normalcy of my everyday routine. There’s just so much I miss. But, what can ya do. This is for the best and I can only hope the end is near. And as long as we do what we’re supposed to do and stay inside and social distance ourselves, this will all be over that much sooner. So let’s focus on that end goal. But, honestly, blogging has always been my escape from the real world and it’s stress and pressures, so let’s try to keep it that way and live in blissful ignorance on When I’m Older. Is that fair? I hope so.

Now on to the outfit. As I have said multiple times on ze blog, H&M makes the best sweaters. The quality isn’t anything stellar, I find the sweaters pill in just a couple of wears but then again, even expensive knitwear pills, so maybe that isn’t a true reflection on the quality. This is one of my favorite sweaters from H&M. I already had it in a mustard yellow colour (of course you do, Taylor) (ootd here) so y’all know that I had to get it in a more neutral colour as well. It’s such a thick chunky knit with a high, cozy turtleneck and a shorter hem. It’s really perfect for these Edmonton winters (that we will hopefully be done with soon). And the best thing about this sweater? H&M keeps bringing it back every year but in new colours! This year you can find it in camel, olive, navy, lime green, beige and grey! My goal is to eventually own it in every colour.

Today was a relatively warm day for Edmonton with the temperature hovering around 0°C, so I could leave the house without a coat thrown over top of my sweater and it was definitely a welcomed change. For bottoms, I am wearing my ripped Liya Citizens of Humanity jeans and it was a weird feeling to wear jeans again. Since I have been working from home and not leaving my house, I have worn leggings consistently day after day. I forgot what jeans felt like. That reminds me, I should order some more leggings. That’s my new normal.

I dressed up the outfit with a few accessories like this Brixton Fiddler Cap and my new mustard scrunchie that I got from Urban Outfitters for two bucks. Please don’t ask my how many online orders I have placed from the comfort of my home ever since I’ve been in isolation. I am solely keeping the economy alive at this point. I also used the opportunity to carry my new Longchamp bag that my parents got me for my birthday. I have been wanting a Longchamp for as long as I can remember. It’s one of those totes that has so many practical uses. Going to the grocery store? Bring your Longchamp to put your groceries in. Catching a flight? (Not anytime soon) Use your Longchamp as a carry-on. Going to the coffeeshop to study? Throw your laptop in it. It’s such a durable, versatile bag that I will be sure to have for many years to come.
