How is everything going with everyone? Can you believe it’s now like day 49 of quarantine? I can’t even keep track of it anymore. All the days are blurring into one. I know that I said I wasn’t going to be posting any more outfit content on ze blog until everything was back to normal, but the truth is I’ve really missed it. There was a good two weeks of me wearing only pyjamas and sweatpants to “work” as well as not doing my hair or my makeup. But you know all the people that say it makes you feel way better to keep your routine and keep getting ready and looking presentable every morning? Yeah, those people are right. My mood dramatically increased when I started putting effort into my appearance again. So, I will continue to post my outfits on ze blog. However, I am keeping it very real for y’all. These are actual outfits that I am wearing on the day I shoot these pictures. Throughout the next couple of weeks (months?), you are going to see what I actually wear while working from home. No extra effort put in.

So I’m sure you all know the tie-dye trend is really taking over the quarantined world. It seems like everyone and their mother is tie-dying every clothing item in their closet or maybe that’s just a Tik Tok thing. And so, during the first week of quarantine, I ran out and bought a tie-dye kit (via curbside pickup from Michael’s of course). And while I haven’t gotten around to actually tie-dying anything yet, my bestie, Vanessa, really came through and tie-dyed this AMAZING sweatsuit for me.

Both the crewneck sweatshirt and sweatpants are from Walmart. They are the Athletic Works brand and they were only $15CAD/$11USD each. A steal! They’re sold out almost everywhere in-store and online so they were an absolute struggle to find but I persevered and I couldn’t be happier. They are just so dang comfy! So, you might be wondering how Vanessa made this sweatsuit look so dang cute. Well, she soaked both of the pieces in water first, bunched section up with rubber bands and then sprayed sections with bleach. She left it out in the sun for a couple of hours and then washed them in a laundry machine. But don’t follow what I said word for word. There are so many better tutorials online.

When I tried on this sweatsuit, I instantly knew what shoes I was going to pair with it. These are the Nike Air Force 1 Lux in white/chrome yellow. I had been wanting a pair of Air Force 1’s for quite a while but I wanted a pair that was a little bit different from the originals. When these ones were released, I knew these were the pair for me. They have yellow elastic cord laces and a reflective tongue webbing. They are just unique enough for me to love them without being too bold to be as versatile as the classic Air Force 1’s. They’re such a fun sneaker and I can’t wait to wear them more this summer!
