    Moor Spa Cream Review

As you have probably noticed on ze blog, I have been leaning more and more towards natural skincare. The beauty community has started to shift it’s focus away from trendy skincare and more towards clean beauty and I am definitely following suit. Moor Spa is made from 100% naturally derived ingredients and is completely free from synthetic preservatives, parabens, sulfates, artificial colors and fragrances and petroleum-derived chemicals.

I was sent four skincare products from Moor Spa to try out and I was so excited to incorporate some more natural products into my routine! So, let’s just jump into the review! The first product is the Moor Spa Cleansing Foam ($26CAD). To put it simply, I hate cleansing foams. All the foam that I’ve tried in the past just never seem to cleanse my skin fully. I always feel like there is makeup or oil still left over on my face. I much prefer a gel texture. However, this foam is different from the ones I’ve tried. It’s more creamy and less watery than I’m used to resulting in rich foam that gently removes all my makeup and oil without using any harsh surfactants. I really want to try the cleansing gel from Moor Spa to compare, but for now, I’m quite liking the cleansing foam!

Next up is the Moor Spa Clarifying Cream ($38CAD) and I am obsessed with this moisturizer. There are very few creams that I immediately fall head over heels in love with but this is definitely one of them. It’s a light but nourishing cream-gel texture whose goal is to restore a bright and clear skin tone with sweet potato extract, cucumber, marshmallow, st. johns wort and asafetida. My combination skin has been getting oilier now as summer grows near and this cream has been surprisingly great at keeping my oil at bay and free of breakouts!

Speaking of breakouts, the next product is the the Moor Spa Blemish Gel ($29CAD). I am always skeptical of natural acne treatments because in my 13 year long journey of having shitty skin, benzoyl peroxide or over the counter treatments are the only things that seem to work for me. This Blemish Gel combines soothing slippery elm bark with the purifying effects of pure moor extract to help keep the pores clean and unclogged of oil. And although I can’t exactly attribute the state of my skin to this, I have really been liking it. Because I usually don’t like putting benzoyl peroxide on my skin during the day as it makes my skin more sensitive to the sun, this blemish gel is perfect as a daily treatment. And it sits nicely underneath my moisturizer and makeup without making anything pill!

The last product is the Moor Spa Glycolic Lotion ($32CAD). For years and years now, I have loved glycolic acid. It’s always been a great ingredient for not only reducing my acne but also evening out my skin tone and fading my acne marks. This Glycolic Lotion is designed to be applied at night (as it can cause sun sensitivities) and is a type of ‘chemical exfoliant’. It removes dead skin cells using the “peeling” action of glycolic acid (10%) to diminish the appearance of fine lines, leaving a fresh, youthful glow. I strongly believe everyone needs some form of glycolic acid in their skincare routine because it truly is a miracle product!
