Happy Friday! Happy July! How are we halfway through summer already?! I’m just as shocked as you are. It was Canada Day two days ago and I’m happy to announce that I’m still taking quarantine and social distancing very seriously. I think this was the first Canada Day since I was twelve that I didn’t do anything. The only fireworks were the ones I saw on Instagram and the only champagne I popped was my Champagne Toast hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works (it’s a great scent, y’all should check it out). But it felt strangely nice to just sit at home and watch some Youtube and play Animal Crossing. I think I’m turning into an introvert. That’s scary.

So in my last outfit post, I talked about how much I love the versatility of this skirt. It’s the perfect skirt to dress up or down and I’ve been loving thinking of different ways I can style it! Last week I showed y’all how I love to slightly dress it up with a pair of heeled sandals and a knit tank but this week, we are going casual!

As with any skirt that I am trying to dress down, this look incorporates a pair of white sneakers. White sneakers are my ride or die. They are my summer staple. They’re really all I wear because they go with every single summer outfit and help casualize (casualise? Who knows.) even the fanciest of looks. But I must say these sneakers are getting beat up after two summers of constantly wearing them. We might just be due for a new pair. But until then, these will have to do.

And you best believe that when I’m wearing white sneakers, I’m probably wearing a white t-shirt as well. We should count how many outfit posts on ze blog involve a white t-shirt. That would be a scary number. This one is from Zara and one of my favorites! (Kotn and Everlane are two of my other favorite white t-shirt brands). Overtop of this tee, I threw on this green button-up jacket that I picked up last year from Simons. When I first bought this jacket, I very rarely wore it but I’m pleased to say I’ve been finding more and more ways to wear it lately! Success!
