I have blogged about a lot of things over the past ten years. Anywhere from tampons to tea, I’ve talked about it all. But, the one thing I’ve never reviewed on ze blog before is a water bottle. And that’s simply because there’s never been a water bottle that’s really excited me before. Afterall, this is a beauty and fashion blog (although it’s posts do regularly stray away from those categories). But that lack of excitement over water bottles all changed when I got this Monos Kiyo UVC Bottle.

I love Monos as a company. I first got my Monos Carry-On Suitcase (full review here) back in the summer of 2019 for my trip to San Francisco and I fell head over heels for the luggage. The quality was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before and I’ve never been so happy with a material thing. The fact that I, the queen of complaining, didn’t have a single complaint about the suitcase really says something. I couldn’t find one fault. And so, when Monos started launching other items in their line, I knew I had to try it all!

The Monos Kiyo UVC Bottle ($85CAD) is so much more than your average water bottle. Trust me. You don’t? Okay, okay, I’ll explain. The Kiyo bottle is your perfect travel accessory (not that I’ve been travelling much these past two years). Long story short, with just a swipe of your finger, the bottle purifies water in as little as 60 seconds, and, when using the Deep Clean Mode that takes 3 minutes, it neutralizes up to 99.99% of bacteria. It uses powerful UVC purification to ensure that you have drinkable, clean water whenever you want, regardless of where you are.

Plus the actual bottle is gorgeous. I got mine in the Meadow colour, a beautiful yellow-green that you already know perfectly matches my vibe. But it also comes in a variety of other colours; I already have my eye on the Salt Spring and Tuscan Sun shades. It’s also incredibly lightweight and durable and has a little silicone carrying loop. And it’s battery lasts a decent amount of time (up to a month depending how often you use it) and you can just recharge it with the included USB-C charging cable. Oh, and the double wall vacuum insulation keeps your water (500 ml worth) or beverage (baileys hot chocolate anyone?) hot for 12 hours or cold for 24 hours.

Honestly I’m starting to think this might be the perfect Christmas present for some of my friends. Wow, even my blog post convinced me to buy more. That’s the power of blogging, folks. Maybe I really am an influencer.
