Before I get into the review portion of this post, I have to be honest with you guys. I am not an almond gal. Never have been, never will. However, I now have to include a disclaimer when letting people know that I hate an almond scent. Because this L’Occitane Almond Hair and Body Fragrance Mist ($54CAD/$40USD) is now the exception. Shocking, right?! This body mist is probably the most almondy scent you can spray on your body. And I actually like it! So, if you too have been deterred by almond scents in the past, I would recommend you to at least give this one a try before completely writing it off.

The L’Occitane Almond Hair and Body Fragrance Mist follows in the footsteps of their best selling Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil with Almond Oil ($39CAD/$29USD). I think both the scent and product went viral on Tiktok last year and now the Fragrance Mist is here to live on it’s legacy. This mist feels super lightweight and works beautifully on both hair and body which I really appreciate. Body fragrance mists are great and all, but a hair mist is truly spectacular and something that is a little bit more rare in the beauty industry. Most fragrances and perfumes contain a high degree of alcohol (so that they are more potent and last longer on the skin), but that makes them unsuitable for hair. This mist takes a gentler approach, so you can safely spray it on your hair, skin, and even clothes.

Let’s talk about the actual scent. Obviously it smells like almonds but it also contains vanilla and bergamot, making it fresh, yet still warm and cozy. And therefore, you can wear it in all seasons, not just spring, which is when I’d normally expect a traditional almond scent to fit best.

I will also mention that because it’s a fragrance mist for hair and body and not a perfume, it’s lasting power is not strong at all. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. You can spray this on yourself throughout the day and not have to worry about it being overpowering or obnoxious. It’s just a light fresh scent. You can wear it alone, with a complimentary perfume or with the matching shower oil and body cream for a longer lasting almond aroma! Overall, it’s a very versatile hair and body mist that I think I will be reaching for all year round!
