I can’t believe that just a couple of years ago, I was too scared to wear maxi skirts out of the house. They weren’t nearly as popular and little sixteen year old me was not daring enough to start the trend. Now, fast forward almost three years later and they have become my summer staple. This one, from Forever 21, is so light and breezy and matches everything in my closet. It’s such a basic.

I paired it with this silky top from American Eagle. I love the crochet detailing on the sleeves. It gives it such a pretty boho look. My shoes doubled as a pop of color in this outfit with their fun turquoise hue.

For jewelry, I wore a Jewelmint necklace that features a silver tassel pendant. I have been so obsessed with this necklace lately. It seems to call to me every time I’ve been deciding what necklace to wear. I apologize to my other necklaces for playing favorites. For my arm de la jour (that’s french for of the day btw), I wore my Marc Jacobs Amy watch, and a couple of cool bracelets from Urban Outfitters including this funky beaded one that I recently got on sale for only three dollars. Everyone knows I love a good deal.
