I’ve said it before and I will say it again. I love Kristin Ess. I have never loved a haircare line (or any brand for that matter) as much as I love the Kristin Ess haircare range. I first heard of the brand when she sent me some of her products way back when she first launched it in Canada on well.ca (see post here) and I fell head over heels in love with the brand. Wow, how many times can I say love in one blog post? Are you understanding that I really love this line yet?

Now that we’ve gotten my love for Kristin Ess out of the way, let’s talk about what my favorite products in the line have been lately. The first is the Style Reviving Dry Conditioner ($14USD/$18.49CAD). I was unsure if I would like this product because it had mixed reviews online but oh man! This stuff has quickly become my holy grail. I only wash my hair two (sometimes three) times a week so I needed something to help my hair look healthy in between washes. This promises to cleanse, moisturize and condition second day (and third, fourth and fifth day) hair to make it look like it’s freshly washed! It’s a super lightweight formula that I spray on my ends and it instantly eliminates any static and frizz while enhancing shine and adding softness and natural movement back to my hair. It also smells AMAZING with the same signature scent that Kristin Ess uses in all of her products (more on that later in this post) so your hair smells clean and delicious in between washes. And lastly, it also protects hair from heat damage and UV rays so I make sure I spray this on my hair before I use any heat tools on it!

And then there is this set ($15USD). Oh this set is perfection. It’s part of Kristin Ess’ limited edition Christmas collection that she came out with and man, y’all better run to your nearest Target and see if you can hunt this down (they’re sold out online). This set is all about extending the life of your hairstyle and minimizing tangles and frizz. It contains a satin pillowcase as well as two french pins in different sizes. Satin and silk pillowcases have always been raved about by haircare professionals and yet it’s taken me this long to try one. Satin pillowcases help your retain it’s natural oils as well as minimizes frizz and helps keep your hairstyle intact. And best of all, it doesn’t pull your hair, create tension or cause breakage. And these french pins!! These are my new holy grail hair accessory. As my hair is getting longer, it’s more and more prone to breakage. It seems like any hair tie manages to rip out so much hair and I’m just not happy about that. These pins are the perfect things for grabbing when I want to throw my hair up. I just twist my hair into a bun and stab one of these through and voila! The perfect bun that is secure! And these don’t leave any creases in my hair and they are able to preserve any curls in my hair as well! I love these so much I even sleep with them in!

The next product is probably what I was most excited to pick up from Kristin Ess’ holiday collection. So it’s probably no surprise that I love the scent that Kristin Ess uses in all of her products, I rave about it constantly. It’s sweet and floral and fruity and honestly just perfection. I always dreamed of having the scent all over my body, not just in my hair. Well today, that dream is finally reality. This is The One Eau de Parfum ($20USD) and it’s truly heaven on earth. It has notes of ambrette seed, magnolia and pear water, night violet, orris butter, Caledonia sandalwood and white amber. Does that sum up? No? Just smell any bottle of her shampoo and you will be able to see (smell) what I’m talking about. I’m a little sad it’s only a 30mL bottle because I’m terrified I am going to go through this whole bottle way too fast and then never be able to buy it again because it’s limited edition. It’s a real fear y’all.

The last product I tried out this month was the Instant Lift Thickening Spray ($14USD/$17.99CAD). I know I’ve complained about my hair a lot but let me state this again: I have very fine hair. I have a lot of hair, that’s not my problem, but it’s so fine that it lacks any volume. I am always looking for the newest, greatest product to give me some lift. However, I don’t like mousses because I find they either weigh my hair down more or they make my hair greasy or sticky. I just want soft hair with volume, is that so much to ask?! And that is exactly where this Instant Lift Thickening Spray comes in. It’s described as a liquid mousse and helps to volumize without weighing your hair down. It also leaves your hair looking shiny and full. It’s truly the first volumizing product I’ve tried that actually works. That’s really saying something.

I would like to buy the perfume THE ONE but I would love if I can get a little sample of that perfume before I buy it.
