I am so excited to start off a late-September outfit post by talking about how warm it is instead of showing snow covered trees. Miracles really do happen! It’s probably the best thing to happen in this pandemic. However, I think I’m jinxing it all and we’re going to get a really long winter after being spoiled by this beautiful September. But let’s stay optimistic and hope for a winter that only lasts from November to February. Now, that is something I could deal with. Fingers crossed y’all, fingers crossed.
Have I talked about my love for pistachio green on ze blog yet? I don’t even remember. It’s all a blur. Nonetheless, it’s worth talking about again. Remember the days when I was obsessed with mustard yellow? Those days are no more. Now, don’t get me wrong, I still wear the occasional yellow item but I am no longer solely buying mustard yellow pieces. And why is that? Because the colour green has captured my heart. Sage, pistachio, olive. I want it all. It’s just so pretty. I never thought I could like a colour more than mustard yellow yet here we are. Prepare yourselves as I rebuy everything in my closet in sage and pistachio. It’s happening. Change is near here.
I bought this cardigan off my friend, Vanessa. As soon as I saw she was selling something green, I knew I had to have it. It’s a matching lightweight knit cardigan and tank top set. The tank top fits horribly (I now understand why she was selling it) in a oversized boxy way but looks super cute when you pair the two together. Let’s be honest, I really only bought this because it’s pistachio green. And because I desperately needed more tops in my life. I have a lot of clothes (way too much clothes) but at times it seems like I have no basic tops to wear. Plus, shirts are the only things that matter now that 90% of my colleagues only see the upper half of my outfit. On that same note, leggings and sweatpants are officially my best friends.
With this cardigan co-ord set, I paired my grey trench coat overtop. An advantage that also comes with this surprisingly mild September weather is the fact that I now finally have a chance to wear my spring and fall jackets. Usually summer flows right into winter with a weird freak snowstorm that hits at the end of August and just doesn’t stop until mid-March so I never get to pull out my lighter spring/fall jackets. It’s usually just a transition from a tank top to a Super Puff. Ooomph, I’m really selling Edmonton winters, hey? BUT, this year, we got lucky and I finally have a chance to wear this trench coat. That was quite the tangent just to say that I like this trench. I hope you enjoyed it!
