A couple of weekends ago, I took a lil’ mini road trip down to Drumheller for the day. I hadn’t been to Drumheller since 2012, so it was a long overdue trip. But, man! I love Drumheller. I used to be (and probably still am) a huge dino fanatic so visiting the dinosaur capital of the world is my sole idea of fun. I know I probably complain about living in Alberta sometimes but it’s really eye-opening to go explore parts of this province that I don’t always get to visit! Sure, nothing will beat Banff or Canmore, but the Badlands are pretty damn cool as well!

My outfit for visiting Drumheller was extremely casual but we’re keeping it real on ze blog today. Ever since I got this Super Puff from Aritzia back in December, I’ve been living in it. It’s practically a walkable sleeping bag AKA the best invention ever. I honestly can’t believe I was so against these Super Puffs for so long. I always thought they were just a lil’ too casual for me. But they’re just so warm and so lightweight. You get the warmth of wearing like 10 coats but it feels like you’re wearing NOTHING. What could be better than that? I got mine in the longest length possible because Edmonton winters are really no joke and I need every inch of my body covered by the Super Puff. It is engineered to deliver warmth to -40°C / -40°F with 100% responsibly sourced 700 + fill goose down. The hood is removable with cozy lined pockets and cuffs at the sleeves. There’s even snaps at the bottom of the coat that you can undo if you need more movement for your legs. This parka is really everything I ever needed in life. Plus, I have to admit, it’s actually a lot cuter than I thought! A big part of that is because I absolutely love the colour, Dark Shadow, a teal/green, it goes quite nicely with all of my winter outfits!

Underneath my Super Puff, I am wearing these Lululemon Wunder Under Leggings. But listen up, I have a crazy Lululemon hack I’m about to share with you. So I have been quite dissapointed in Lululemon for a number of years now and it all started when I bought a pair of yoga pants a couple of years ago and they started pilling within a couple of wears. I take very good care of my clothes and never put them in the dryer so I was shocked at how quickly they started pilling. So, I boycotted them for a number of years thinking they just weren’t as good quality as they used to be. A couple weeks ago I decided to email their customer service to see what they would suggest about my leggings and to my surprise, they told me I could exchange them in-store for any pair of my choice! UHHH WHAT?! Now that is good customer service. So, I went to Lululemon and picked out the Wunder Under High-Rise Tight 25″ in the Full-On Luxtreme material and they might just be the most amazing leggings I’ve ever tried on. They suck me in at all the right places and make me feel the skinniest I’ve ever felt! Plus, they have yet to pill so I’m back on the Lululemon bandwagon.

For the rest of my outfit I am just wearing a mustard yellow sweater (big surprise there, I still love mustard) from H&M and some chestnut Uggs. I have worn Uggs constantly this winter. Can they please come back in style so I can stop feeling so bad and unfashionable when I wear them? They’re just so comfy and warm. Wait. Does this mean I’m getting old? I am officially picking comfort over style. This whole outfit was based upon keeping warm instead of looking cute. Who even am I anymore?
