Oh, Hismile. Your time has finally come for a review on ze blog. If your Tiktok algorithm is anything like mine, you’re probably being bombarded by Hismile toothpaste ads on a daily basis (in addition to baby cow videos and holiday decorating inspo of course). Well, I hate to admit it, but my fiance and I fell for all the ads (their marketing really does work apparently) and we’ve been testing flavour after flavour for over a year now. We’ve probably tried over 20 different flavours now so I feel very qualified to be writing this post and letting y’all know my true opinions.

Let’s start with the positives first. The packaging is cute. I love the easy pump style canisters that are sleek and colourful and so much more fun than a regular toothpaste tube. The flavours are so fun and hard to resist. Hismile is CONSTANTLY coming out with new flavours (more on this later) and each one seems more enticing than the last. And the toothpastes do contain fluoride so they’re probably somewhat good for your teeth (although I’m far from being a dentist). But, unfortunately, that probably sums up my list of positives for Hismile.

These toothpastes very much fall into more of a novelty category rather than a healthcare category, especially when they’re costing you between $14-$16CAD each. Like I mentioned before, Hismile comes out with a new flavour almost every week and it has become very apparent that there’s very little R&D going into each flavour. I can’t even begin to tell you all the times I’ve received a new flavour and was so excited to try it out but then it ended up tasting like an atrocious chemical mess. Now, I do need to reign myself in. I realize I’m being a little too harsh here because my fiance is still obsessed with all of his Hismile toothpastes and uses them everyday. I don’t think he will ever go back to regular toothpaste as this point. But, I just can’t deal with the flavours constantly being a hit or miss (majority on the miss side unfortunately). And so, to sum up this post, I’ll let you know which flavours I absolutely hated and which ones were more tolerated.
