Today is the last day to shop the Sephora VIB sale (take a peek at my recommendations here) and one of the things that I highly recommend you pick up is the Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions Palette ($29USD/$37CAD) in the Light Shade. Every Sephora VIB sale, I allow myself to pick up just one thing that I’ve had my eye on all year (to curb my shopaholic tendencies) and this year it was this gorgeous palette. I already have one Huda Beauty Obsessions Palette in the Coral shade (review here) that I picked up last summer during the Sephora VIB sale (I really only buy makeup from Sephora during their VIB sale as you can probably tell) and I absolutely love it. So, when Huda Beauty came out with some new shades in their mini Obsessions line, I knew it would be a great addition to my makeup collection.
Huda Beauty launched these new Obsessions palettes in three nude shades: light, medium and dark. They were created to suit every skin tone and eye color with all nude, neutral shades. The Nude Medium palette consists of spicy tones combining chestnuts and deep browns with metallic shimmers in warm yellow and rose gold tones, rustic copper, dusty pink, coral, and terracotta shades. The Nude Rich palette has rich, creamy matte shades chocolate browns, crimson red, dusty rose, and sandy fawn with pink undertones with burnished gold, blushed bronze, dusty rose, and deep brown metallics. Although both of these palettes are absolutely beautiful, the Nude Obsessions palette in the Light shade is the one that caught my eye.
The Light Nude Obsessions Palette is a 9-pan palette with five mattes and four glitter shades. It’s the perfect mix between a neutral palette and a more fun, glitzy, colourful palette. You have your nude shades with a nice cream, tan, and warm mid-toned brown and then have a little more colour with the mauve, pink and lavender glitters. It’s quite possibly the most perfect palette ever. There are so many fun eye looks I can create with it whether I need a natural eye look or something more sparkly and fun for night!
I really love all the Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes for a number of reasons. First, the matte shades are so creamy. They blend out perfectly. The glitters are also a fantastic formulation. They are sparkly and metallic without being too chunky or having too much fall out. I love using my finger to pat these on the center of my eyelids. They create the easiest eye look ever. Plus for the price of $37CAD (or $29 with the VIB Rouge discount), they are such a steal! Also, with these new Nude Obsessions palettes, Huda Beauty really bumped up the quality of the packaging in these sleek plastic palettes instead of the regular magnetic cardboard which is always a nice touch.
