Bioderma Micellar Water Review
Bioderma Atoderm hand and nails ultra repair cream

I think this is my first time working with Bioderma for ze blog and honestly, it’s about time! I have used the infamous Bioderma micellar water for as long as I can remember. It was the first micellar water I had ever tried and although I now occasionally branch out to other micellar waters, it will always hold that special place in my heart. But Bioderma isn’t one of those one-product wonders. Oh no, no, no. They have an extensive collection of products that I love so I am super excited to be talking about all of them today!

I am trying to decide if I should talk about the micellar waters first and why exactly I love them or leave them to the end. But what the heck, let’s start with the best first. So, Bioderma has three different micellar waters in their range. The pink one, Sensibio H2O, is for sensitive skin, the green one, Sébium H2O, is for combination/oily skin and the blue one, Hydrabio H2O, is for dehydrated, sensitive skin. Although I started out only ever using the Sensibio micellar water, I have slowly tried all three over the years and it’s pretty hard to pick a favorite. All three are extremely effective at removing my makeup and don’t leave any sort of film or stickiness on your face. I do occasionally find that the Sébium micellar water irritates my eyes but other than that, I use all three interchangeably depending on which one I have on hand at the moment.

And because Bioderma micellar waters have become so damn popular over the years, Bioderma decided to launch the next best thing – Micellar Makeup Removing Wipes. These are the perfect on-the-go version of my beloved micellar water. They come in both the Sébium H2O version ($9.90USD/$12.90CAD) and the Sensibio H2O version ($9.90USD/$12.90CAD). I have to admit I’m not usually the biggest fan of makeup remover wipes. I find that they never work as well as a micellar water + cotton pad duo. The wipes never seem to be saturated enough with product and by the time I’ve gotten all of my makeup off, I’ve used four or more wipes. That’s just not economical. But, Bioderma did not disappoint. These wipes are wet. I only ever have to use one or two wipes to get my entire face of makeup off. Plus these are super convenient for travel or throwing in your purse (although I didn’t remember to take them in my suitcase when I went to Hawaii last week, ugh).

Bioderma isn’t just known for their face skincare, they also excel at bodycare. The Atoderm Hand and Nails Ultra Repair Cream ($9.90USD/CAD) is one of the best hand creams I have ever tried. Although the packaging and scent might not be anything special, this formula really does work. Whether you have eczema, dehydrated hands or severely dry and damaged hands, this is the perfect hand cream for you. It contains glycerin to help protect the skin, shea butter to restore softness and laminaria and Vitamin E to soothe and alleviate skin. This cream absorbs quickly into the hands and any cracking of the skin is soothed in mere moments!

The last product has a cult following at the Shoppers Drug Mart where I work. This Atoderm Ultra-Nourishing Anti-Irritation Shower Oil ($11USD/$16.90CAD) is definitely no ordinary body wash. It is made for even the most dry, irritated or sensitive skin. It immediately nourishes and soothes the skin on contact in the shower and protects the skin from external aggressors by reinforcing the skin’s natural barrier. If you have flaking, itchy or just overall dry skin (or live in Alberta), you need to try this shower oil. Right NOW.
