Paula's Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide skincare review

It’s always a good day on the blog when it’s time for a Paula’s Choice skincare review!! I know, I know, I talk about my love for Paula’s Choice skincare products way too much on ze blog, but there’s a good reason for it. They’re just simply the best and I must continue to share my love of them. It is my duty as a wannabe beauty blogger. And today’s post is all about the Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Skincare lineup. If that sounds familiar to you, it’s because I already did a whole post on the Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer (read the review here) almost a year ago. I ended up absolutely loving the moisturizer so I was super excited to try out the rest of the line in the Pro-Collagen collection.

Before we jump into talking about the two new products in the collection, let’s do a quick recap of the Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer ($70CAD/$49USD). This is one of my favourite moisturizers. Although it’s an extremely lightweight gel-cream, it actually provides up to 24-hour hydration. It also plumps up your skin, making it look fresh and hydrated. And because it plumps up your skin, it will instantly reduce the look of fine lines while also helping your makeup sit even better on your face throughout the day. But, plumping is not just an immediate benefit of the cream. Because the Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer also contains three different peptides (Hexapeptide-5, Oligopeptide-1, and Tridecapeptide-1) that work together to support the skin’s moisture balance and support natural collagen levels, you will find your skin plumps and stays plump over time. I just love the word plump. Pluuuuump.

Okay, sorry, I got a little off track there. Next is the Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Firming Eye Serum ($55CAD/$39USD). This is probably my dream eye cream. When I sit back and think about what I want to put on my eyes everyday in terms of skincare, this would be it. First, the cooling metal tip. I just love any and all eye serums that have a metal applicator. Honestly, that should just be a requirement of all eye creams at this point. The metal tip helps to immediately cool and depuff the eye area upon impact, making you look more awake (and alive). It’s an instant reset. Then, at the same time, the four eye-specific peptides (Tridecapeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, and Arginine/Lysine Polypeptide) help to firm skin, support healthy collagen, and reduce any fine lines. The gel-serum texture is also super lightweight and preps and primes the eye area for crease-free and pill-free concealer application. I wouldn’t say this Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Firming Eye Serum is the most hydrating eye cream out there (because it’s a serum and not a cream- duh), but for someone like me that doesn’t want a super moisturizing cream, this is perfection in a tube.

And now that brings us to the Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Gloss Balm ($34CAD/$24USD). Are you tired of hearing me say Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide yet? That’s a lot of P’s and C’s. Sorry, off track again. I love a lip balm. That will be no surprise to my loyal readers. I live in Alberta. I have dry lips. I can’t escape it at this point. But luckily, this lip balm does a damn good job at trying to prevent the dryness as much as it can. It contains nourishing plant emollients plus a trio of (yup, you guessed it!) lip-specific peptides (Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, and Tridecapeptide-1) that help to support collagen as well as improve the fullness and plumpness of the lips overtime. Like the eye serum, one of my favorite things about this lip treatment is the application. It’s a super bouncy, silicone-like tip that contours to the curve of your lips to ensure an accurate placement of the balm. I find the actual formula of the balm to be really comfortable on the lips. It’s thick enough to be nourishing, but also isn’t sticky or slippery so it stays on the lips for a good amount of time without needing to be reapplied every couple of minutes.

Overall, the Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Skincare lineup is one of those collections that just works. Every product feels good on the skin, proves to be effective, and is so thoughtfully formulated, making it easy to add them into your routine without overthinking it. If plumper, smoother, and more hydrated skin, lips and eyes are the goal, I’d say this lineup is absolutely worth it.
