I am a self-proclaimed cream blush fiend. I just love the look of a cream blush as opposed to powder blushes. They’re so much more natural and glowy and just seem to blend in so effortlessly whereas powder blushes tend to just sit on top of your makeup. And thus, I’ve exclusively worn cream blushes for the past couple of years. The only times that I tend to reach for a powder blush is when I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to blend out a cream blush or if I’m in a particularly humid place and I’m worried a cream blush will just slip right off my face. But other than that, cream blushes are definitely my go-to for my everyday makeup routine.

Now, I already have a full, dedicated blog post on my favorite cream blushes, but I’m happy to announce that I have a recent new addition to that collection. These are the BlushSense by SeneGence Long Lasting Cream Blushes ($32USD/$38CAD each) and they are gorgeous to say the least. I got to try out four different shades and each one is more beautiful than the next.

Pink Berry is definitely the most wild out of the four. It’s a hot pink magenta that is so vibrant and vivid even with the tiniest dot of product. The next two, Pouty Pink and Toasted Rose are so similar at first glance. They’re definitely the more natural, subdued shades of the collection. However, they’re not entirely the same. Pouty Pink has a touch more pink in it and is more of a light pink where Toasted Rose definitely leans more on the beige, neutral end of things. And last, Terra Cotta, is a gorgeous nude coral and is probably my favorite shade out of the four. But, what I love about cream blushes is the ability to blend the different shades together to create your perfect colour. I love adding a tiny dab of the bright Pink Berry shade into Toasted Rose to create a more neutral, but still gorgeous mid-tone pink.

What’s particularly special about these cream blushes is their texture. In fact, they remind me a lot of Glossier’s Cloud Paints, one of my favorite cream blushes on the market. They’re super silky and lightweight meaning they blend effortlessly into the skin. You don’t have to worry about a patchy or streaky cheek when using these. However, they do dry incredibly quick so you have to work fast or else you’re going to have a hard time getting an even application. But, they are also extremely long wearing. I find these shades stay on my cheek for the whole day without budging, even on the hottest of days! And that’s definitely a plus when you’re dealing with any sort of cream product!
