Sephora Birthday Gifts 2021

One of my favorite things about Sephora is their annual gifting of birthday presents to their Beauty Insider/VIB/Rouge customers. It’s such a nice lil’ treat every year and I always look forward to see what they’re going to give. As Sephora has grown larger and larger as a company, so has their birthday gifts. This year they gave the choice of four different gifts and each of them were so amazing! To help you decide which one to pick up when your birthday rolls around, I thought I would give an overview of each of the gifts (minus the Laneige one, whoops) and let y’all know which is my fave!

Birthday Gift #1: Moroccanoil Set

– 0.67 fl. oz/ 20 mL Hydrating Styling Cream
– 0.5 fl. oz/ 15 mL Moroccanoil Treatment
– 0.34 fl. oz/ 10 mL Night Body Serum

It’s been a lil’ while since I’ve used the Moroccanoil Treatment so I was super excited to try this set! The oil is one of my favorites and I find that even the 15ml sample size lasts a long time! The Hydrating Styling Cream was super nice as well. It’s a lightweight, leave-in hair styling cream infused with argan oil and anti-static ingredients to hydrate, condition, and add definition as well as provides a soft hold. Lastly the Night Body Serum is formulated with with argan and tsubaki oils, Holy Basil extract, and Vitamin C to visibly smooth and firm the skin. All in all, it’s a great set that has a variety of products you will be sure to love!

Birthday Gift #2: Nars Laguna Set

– 0.08 oz/ 2.5 g Bronzing Powder in Laguna
– 0.03 oz/ 1.1 g Afterglow Lip Balm in Laguna

This is probably the birthday gift I was most excited to try out. Believe it or not, I have never used the cult favorite Nars Laguna bronzer before. The shade is described as a bronze with a golden shimmer- perfect for summer. It promises a long-wearing, blendable, sunkissed glow however I have to admit I was a little disappointed by it. Maybe my expectations were just a little too high but it seemed like nothing special. However, the Afterglow Lip Balm is absolutely stunning. It’s incredibly moisturizing and is aso infused with a blend of antioxidants to condition and protect. Plus, the shade is really gorgeous on the lips! It’s the perfect shimmery nude.

Birthday Gift #3: Kérastase Nutritive Set

– 1.7 fl. oz/ 50 ml Nutritive Shampoo
– 1 fl. oz/ 30 ml Nutritive Conditioner

I really saved the best set for last. I really love Kérastase hair care. It works absolute wonders for my hair but there’s just one problem. It’s hella pricey. And thus, I was pumped to see I could pick up a sample sized set for free as my birthday gift this year! The shampoo is perfect for dry, sensitized hair and contains antioxidants to boost nutrition and gently cleanse the hair while replenishing fibers from root to tip. My hair always feels so soft and shiny after using it! The conditioner also does a similar thing while also detangling and softening the hair and protecting it from dryness. The only complaint I would have about this set is the tiny sizes are really only good for a couple of uses (especially if you have long hair!).
