The last week of summer is always such a sad one. I head back to school next week and I’m not ready. There’s so many changes in my life now that I’m back in the office and not working from home anymore. Oh yeah and I’m now working in a whole new position in the office. It is sure to be a jam-packed semester. Here’s to hoping I don’t get too overwhelmed and stressed. You will be the first to hear about it if I do! But anyways, my boyfriend planned a cutie cute date to the Muttart Conservatory last weekend. For those of you who aren’t Edmonton locals, the Muttart consists of these four glass pyramids that feature more than 700 species of plants in tropical, arid and temperate biomes. It was previously closed for two years undergoing renovations so I was so excited to finally be able to go again!
To match the flower theme and honor the fact that summer is rapidly fading away, I pulled out the most floral dress I own. I definitely didn’t get many chances to wear this Zara dress due to the ongoing pandemic (despite Edmontonians thinking Covid has just been eradicated??? Y’all are in desperate need of a reality check). I love this dress. It’s a sheer chiffon with a flowy skirt and three-quarter length sleeves. It features a micro floral pattern and has an attached navy slip skirt. And it’s quite possibly the only red thing in my closet so big bonus points there!
The last time I wore this dress on ze blog (see here), I went the fancier route with heeled sandals and loose curls. However, I took the opposite way this time around. My style has really centered around comfort lately. I will keep you updated if that changes at all now that I’m back in the office and sweatpants aren’t an option to wear to work anymore. But, because I was doing a ton of walking this day, I knew I needed to pair some sneakers with this dress. I chose my grey Monoglam Converse (I think that’s what they’re called). They’re a grey monochrome with gold accents and they’re so cute (and also in need of a good clean).
For a little bit of warmth, because I really can’t go anywhere without some sort of jacket even in 30 degree weather, I grabbed my new Wilfred Little Cropped Jacket From Aritzia. I have been wanting this jacket for way too long now but I always had trouble just biting the bullet because it’s so expensive for the price. $198 just seems outrageous for something with so little fabric. As I wrote that last sentence, I got an extreme sense of deja vu and that is because I’ve already talked about this jacket on the blog. So now I’m just being super redundant. So, I will do you all a favour and shut up about this jacket. Instead, I’ll continue to be redundant in typical Taylor fashion and talk about this purse, the Coach Pillow Tabby Shoulder Bag, instead. I’m pretty sure I’ve worn this purse in every single outfit post on ze blog since I picked it up. But hey, if you’re new to the blog, be sure to listen up. I love this bag. It’s been the best sidekick throughout these past couple of months.
