The Better Skin Co. is one of those brands that I haven’t heard a whole lot about. They aren’t widely talked about on Youtube or blogs and their products are hard to find in stores in Canada. But the little things that I’ve heard about Better Skin Co. have been all good so I thought it was about time that I gave this brand a try.
This is the Super Shield Anti-Pollution Serum ($38USD/$51CAD) from The Better Skin Co. and it’s one of those products that everyone should be using in their skincare routines. But, I have to admit, I am rather hypocritical in saying that. Whenever my skin is particularly bad and I’m breaking out, I tend to forgo any extras in my skincare routine. I just stick to the basics with micellar water, a cleanser, moisturizer and a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment. It’s only when my skin has returned to normal and I feel like my acne is under control that I will start to add serums and oils back into my routine. But it’s serums like this Super Shield Anti-Pollution Serum that I should be using all year round to ensure my skin stays good and healthy even when I am breaking out.
And The Better Skin Co. designs all it’s products like the Super Shield Anti-Pollution Serum. They strive to make all of their products multipurpose in order to simplify your routine. They want their products to be used by anyone and everyone. And staying true to their name, they make sure to leave out any ingredients that they deem unworthy. They want only the best, cleanest ingredients in their products.
So what exactly does the Super Shield Anti-Pollution Serum do for your skin? It is designed to be a natural pollution defense system for your skin. It’s powered by White Horehound (a herb) that helps to fight visible and invisible pollution damage while creating a more youthful looking, radiant skin. The added Turmeric, Eggplant, Aloe, Henna, and Pearl Powder help to fortify and protect the skin while also hydrating it. It’s also perfect for someone like me in this day and age because it assists in protecting my skin against blue light (AKA computer/smart phone light pollution). It seems like more and more skincare products are adding that into their list of benefits which I love! I sit in front of a computer for upwards of 10 hours a day (!!!) so I need to make sure that I’m protecting my skin as much as possible from that.

I love their packaging. It’s so cute and feminine. I adore the idea of serum to help with the elements – especially when in the city!

I’ve never heard of this brand before, let alone this particular product – but I’m fascinated. I’ve known of a couple other brands creating anti-pollution products, and I really want to know more about the science behind that. It’s so cool if it *actually* helps shield your skin from those harmful toxins! Thanks for sharing about this!

I’ve never heard of this brand before but I’m intrigued! I didn’t know an anti-pollution serum was a thing. I’m sure that’s very helpful if you love in a big city!

This is so cool! I didn’t even know that this type of product was out in the market! With so much pollution out there this is just perfect! I’m gonna have to check it out! And I love that the price is not too bad either!

I always like to hear about new products. It’s hard to decide when it comes to what you apply to your face.
