Ten bottles of this Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum are sold every single minute all around the world. Bam. 10 bottles were just sold. The Advanced Night Repair ($105USD/$130CAD, 50ml) has been Estée Lauder’s #1 serum for years and years now and because of that, it’s gone through many revamps and reformulations to fit with the changing times! It’s now entirely comprehensive in fighting all signs of aging, including firming, and is patented until 2033! (Hopefully the pandemic will be over by then).
The serum works every night and every day to address every sign of aging– and it’s for everyone. Don’t let the name fool you. Even though it’s called the Advanced Night Repair, this serum is designed to be used both day and night. During the day, it defends and helps protect skin from environmental assaults and while you sleep, it helps optimize skin’s natural nightly repair process.
So what exactly has been upgraded in this iconic serum?
First, the packaging. I love that they didn’t change the bottle too much. They just enhanced it by using a sleekly silhouetted glass bottle that has a little more translucency so you can actually see when you’re running low and need to pick up a new one. Finally! I hate when I don’t know when I’m on the last drop of my skincare products and I run out unexpectedly! Estée Lauder also went the sustainability route by transforming the “little brown bottle” into a recyclable glass bottle!
Next, the serum now incorporates new Chronolux™ Power Signal Technology that is deep and fast-penetrating to reduce the look of multiple signs of aging caused by the environment (i.e pollution, weather and blue-light damage). It jumpstarts the skin’s natural repair so it looks smoother and less lined, younger, more radiant and even toned. Plus, it helps skin boost its natural production of collagen and its renewal of fresh, new skin cells.
It also now provides 72-hour hydration thanks to the high levels of hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture that creates the perfect environment to optimize the skin’s natural repair process. Also, in addition to the benefits this serum has always provided (reducing lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and dehydration), it now also tackles visible pore reduction and firmness!
Wowza. That was a lot of information to take in. But I think what you’re all wondering is if the serum still has the same texture and effectiveness of it’s previous formula. I know that personally I hate when a brand switches up their formula and suddenly I hate the new one or it no longer works for my skin. But rest assured, Estée Lauder ensured that this serum has the same beloved oil-free texture. It feels exactly the same. What a relief! It’s also still free of parabens, sulfites/sulfates, phthalates and mineral oil.
