The time has finally come. I have put away my quarantine outfits (tie dye sweat suits and leggings) temporarily and pulled out my cute girly outfits that I have so desperately missed. I am so sick of dressing comfy and casual. I want to be uncomfortable. I want to be fancy. I want to revert back to my normal outfits. That’s all I want.
So, when I saw this skirt on the Aritzia website, I knew that although it didn’t exactly fit in with my typical quarantine fashion, it was too freaking cute to pass up. I’ve been a huge fan of these skirts from Aritzia for a while now. They are called the Wilfred Twirl Skirt and they come in so many different colours and prints that they change up every season! I had resisted buying one of the skirt for so long because there was never a print or colour that I immediately fell in love with but when I saw this patterned one, I could suddenly think of so many tops and jackets I could pair with it so it seemed like a good purchase!
The Wilfred Twirl Skirt features a wide waistband and permanent pleats that keep their shape. The chiffon is a stunning watercolor iris print of greens, blues, purple, and of course, my favorite mustard yellow. Because I feel this skirt is so dang versatile, I want to show you how many ways I can wear it. And so, this week’s post will feature this skirt (slightly) dressed up and next week’s outfit post will be a bit more casual!
The way that I’m wearing it today is how I would wear it to work (once I’m back in the office) on more business casual days and I could easily swap out the denim jacket for a blazer for more of a business formal vibe! I paired the skirt with this Aritzia knit tank (the Suzette Knit Top in Granite Blue) that I recently picked up as well. I was a little unsure of how this tank would look as I don’t usually opt for anything with a v-neck but I absolutely love how well it matches the skirt!
Overtop of the knit tank, I threw on a white denim jacket because let’s be honest, when am I not wearing this jacket in the summer? It matches EVERYTHING. For shoes, I’m wearing some comfy navy heeled sandals and I grabbed my sage green tote to finish off the look! Stay tuned for next week’s post to see how I dress down this skirt even more!
