I gotta tell you. It feels damn good to be wearing normal clothes. Not that leggings and hoodies and sweatpants aren’t normal, but before this whole pandemic started, I very rarely wore any of those. And while they are incredibly comfy and cozy, I have really been missing my normal outfits. I miss wearing jeans. (I bet you never thought I would say that). I miss finding the perfect earrings to accent my outfit. I miss spending half an hour picking out what I’m going to wear in the morning. I miss walking out the door everyday wearing a bomb-ass outfit. But, I don’t have to miss those things. I can just put on an outfit I would wear if the world was functioning normally. So here’s an old normal outfit. Enjoy.

I honestly forgot I had these jeans. They are the Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans and they are the funkiest pair of jeans I own. With the wide leg, frayed hem and tie belt, they are just super cute. I am sometimes a little worried they aren’t the most flattering jeans on the planet but hey, they sure are fun to style. And in case you missed the last blog post these were featured in (see here), they were only $19.99, marked down from $120. An absolute steal!

And similar to that last outfit post where I featured these jeans, I am wearing them once again with a pair of Vans. However, this pair of Vans is brand new, unlike those six-year-old beat-up ones in that post. My brother surprised me with these Vans for my 25th birthday this year and I absolutely love them. They are so different and I just love that they are slightly dressier than your average pair of Vans. They are a matte cream leather with a tortoiseshell chain across the top. How cute, hey?! You may remember I once had a pair of leather Vans a couple years ago (check out this post to spark your memory), but they were SO uncomfortable. I could only wear them a couple of times until my feet just gave up on them. The blisters were unbearable. However, the leather of these new Vans is so much softer and just molds to your feet, so no blisters for me! Thank God.

To pair with the jeans and Vans, I kept it simple on top with a white t-shirt from, yup you guessed it, Kotn and a green button-up jacket from Simons. I have had such an obsession with the colour green lately. It’s all I want to wear. Will that be the new mustard yellow in my wardrobe? Honestly, probably. And I ain’t mad about that.
