In celebration of 2014 coming to a close, I thought I would show you guys some of my favorite albums of 2014! When I was first making this list, I had over 30 albums on it, so I decided to narrow it down by only including the albums released in 2014. Let me know if you want to hear the ones that didn’t make the cut.

  1. Taylor Swift– 1989: I feel like this album was an obvious choice for this list. Anyone who says this isn’t her best album is lying. It’s perfection.
  2. Alex and Sierra– It’s About Us: I don’t watch X Factor so I had no idea this duo won the show but their album is so good and they’re dating so it makes it twice as cute.
  3. Bleachers– Strange Desire: I first heard “I Wanna Get Better” on our summer roadtrip and loved it so I checked out the rest of the album and it’s equally as good! Their songs are so catchy and fun.
  4. Bear’s Den– Islands: I tend to like more folky, indie, softer songs and this album is filled with them.
  5. Hozier– Hozier (Deluxe Version): This album is too good. There isn’t too much to say except that ‘Someone New’ is one of my favorite songs and a must-listen.
  6. Bastille– All The Bad Blood: It is rare that I like every single song on a album. But I LOVE every single song. Bastille is amazing. And I’m still crying over the fact that I missed their concert when they were here in Edmonton. I guess I should also include their newest album in this list too, Bastille VS. (Other People’s Heartache Pt.III).
  7. Ingrid Michaelson– Lights Out: I’ve always been a huge fan of Ingrid Michaelson and she outdid herself with her new album. \’Girls Chase Boys’ was my anthem for a good six months.
  8. Hedley– Wild Life:I’m sad to admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of this album when it first came out. I’ve always loved Hedley, but this album wasn’t my favorite. However, I recently went to their concert and ever since, I can’t stop listening.
  9. Luke Sital-Singh– The Fire Inside: I’ve really been liking Luke Sital-Singh lately, he’s very reminiscent of Ben Howard and Josh Record. He has a very calming vibe.
  10. You+Me– Rose Ave.: When I first learned that Dallas Green from City and Colour and Pink were making an album together, I was over the moon. And when I actually heard it, I thought it was the best thing ever. They sound so good together.

So as an early Christmas gift, I put all these albums on a Spotify Playlist for y\’all! I have recently begun to discover the amazingness of Spotify so I hope you enjoy listening!
