For the longest time, ever since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to take pictures in front of this particular building on campus. This is the old Arts building and I think it’s the prettiest building on campus. Even before I went to the University of Alberta, I loved this building. To me, this is what I imagined all university buildings looked like before I had ever set foot on campus. It reminds me of Ivy League universities, even though I’m stuck here in cold, wintery Edmonton. Oh well, I can dream can’t I?

For my outfit today, I was feeling very festive today. I took these photos on Christmas Eve. There’s something so special about the day before Christmas. Everyone is in the Christmas spirit, except the ones who are stressed and running around doing last minute shopping, but they still have a hint of festivity and happiness to them.

I think it has become a tradition to wear this dress every Christmas. Well, I only got it last year so it’s just a two year-long tradition. But, I am determined to make it an everlasting tradition. It is a red velvet dress and it just screams Christmas. For warmth I layered a black turtleneck sweater over it and threw on this plaid shawl overtop. I was still freezing but welcome to Edmonton.

For boots, I am once again wearing these suede riding boots from Zara that I’m absolutely in love with. Edmonton hasn’t had a crazy amount of snow this year so I am able to wear these outside even though it’s the end of December when we would normally have 8 feet of snow. Maybe I’m exaggerating, but I’m still very happy about it.

My jewelry consists of my regular Marc Jacobs watch, my pandora bracelet… and drumroll please… a new addition! For Christmas this year, my friend and I got my other friend matching friendship bracelets! We got the leather Pandora bracelets in black. They are so pretty and the perfect grown-up friendship bracelets! My wrist has never looked better. I also really like my earrings today. They are silver dangly chains that hook onto both the front and the back of the ear and the best part? I picked them up on Black Friday for only 50 cents. 50 Cent would have been proud. Please laugh. That was funny.
