As I was walking out the door today, my mom stopped to ask me if I was wearing a dress as a shirt. I replied with “Mooooooooooom it’s a tunic duh”. She went on to tease me, saying it was a tress (dress x top). Or a dop. She thinks she’s funny. I ran out the door with her calling after me, “Tressy dop, tressy dop, tressy dooooooooooop”.
But, regardless of her sassy remarks, I really do enjoy wearing dress-like shirts with pants. It’s just so much warmer and comfier it seems. Haters gonna hate y\’know?
And guess what? I finally found a black coat. Yes, that’s right. I have been looking for a black coat for way too long. I had almost given up my search, thinking that since it was almost spring, maybe I would wait until next year to continue the hunt. But then, I was cruising the Forever 21 website and I came across this collarless boucle coat. It was perfect. And the best part? It was on super clearance. That always makes me a happy camper. Normally, I’m not the type to buy coats from Forever 21 because they’re not always the best quality. But, I was desperate for a black coat, so I just did the inevitable and went ahead and ordered it. I’m extremely glad I did because I’ve worn it every day this week.
The rest of my outfit consists of a tunic from Oak and Fort that I layered with my favorite plaid shirt ever. If I could wear this shirt everyday, I would. For pants, I’m wearing my leather pants from Zara. I love these pants but they’re still very stiff and uncomfortable. They always seem to be falling down. I guess that’s why pants usually aren’t made out of leather.
So there ya have it folks. Normally I would take a few minutes to discuss Oakley’s attitude and role in my outfit today but luckily for y\’all, he has his own blog now, so head over there if you want to read up on Oakley’s adventures! Follow his blog @whenhesolder🙂 (He also has his own instagram too and is threatening to beat my follower count, it’s embarrassing-https://instagram.com/whenhesolder/)
