I haven’t updated you much on my summer so far. So here’s what I’ve been up to. As soon as school finished for the semester, I started a second job at Aritzia. Aritzia is a gorgeous store with gorgeous clothes. Both the employees who work there and the ladies who shop there are amazingly stylish and I’ve always wanted to be just like them. Hence, I couldn’t have been more excited when I got the job at Aritzia. However, before I knew it, things came up (aka upcoming trip to New York) and I had to quit because I wouldn’t have been able to take the time off. Now, why am I telling you this story? Well, when I quit, I knew I had to take advantage of the lovely discount that accompanies employees at Aritzia. I had been so good with not shopping all summer so I figured I would treat myself to two essentials: jeans and a blanket scarf.

Let’s start with the jeans. All my life, I have never really understood the hype with expensive, brand-name denim. I’ve always just shopped at Zara or American Eagle for jeans. But, I decided to splurge on one pair of jeans while working at Aritzia. Afterall, jeans are an investment and if you take care of them, they could last years and years. After trying on almost all of the jeans in Aritzia, I found the pair that couldn’t have been more perfect for me. These are the Citizens of Humanity Rockets in the Byron Bay Wash, a medium blue. They fit like a glove and they’ve made me fall in love with wearing jeans again.

Now, on to the scarf. I have been wanting an Aritzia blanket scarf for as long as I can remember. They are the perfect scarves consisting of a thick wool fabric that is both cozy and comfy. I could never decide on what colour and print I wanted, but when I first saw this particular scarf on my first shift at Aritzia, I knew I would need to get my hands on it one day. I was just unsure if it was too Spring-y of a scarf. And I wasn’t wrong, this is definitely a more Spring-suited scarf. I was scared that since the colours made it more suitable for Spring, I wouldn’t be able to wear it in winter, but I also wouldn’t be able to wear it in the warmer months of Summer either. It was a Springy colour scheme on a winter scarf. I didn’t think it would be a smart buy. But, I’ve already surprisingly worn it quite a few times this week.
